They will shred the paper towels and once they pee on them they will get wet really fast. I used a litter tray but rats can't really be trained to just use the litter tray so they will be using the bathroom everywhere. I know they like to burrow so I'm wondering should I get more fleece and cut it up into big chunks for their beds? I'm a new rat owner and not so sure if they would like that or not. I out cut paper towels in their litter tray and I don't want them to mistake it for burrowing materials also.
