When my younger brother and I were kids our grandfather had a welding shop. He made all kinds of things including decorative fences, window coverings and golf clubs. Papaw as we called our grandpa, taught my brother how to weld when he was younger and he never forgot. So a couple of years ago my brother started making these Horse Shoe Tables by welding the Hose Shoes together.
Billy makes them and sells them now. I think they came out pretty good.
They are the perfect size for small planters and knick knacks.
I remember watching the guys in papaws welding shop wearing those big bulky masks that the only thing you can see is the light coming off the welds you are making. His shop always smelled of burning metal and I liked it.
If you would like to buy one of these Horse Shoe tables you can contact Billy at medmanbill@yahoo.com for pricing.
That is beautiful. I wish I had family and/or friends who welded1
ReplyDeleteYeah they do look really good
ReplyDeleteHi everyone. Thanks for commenting for the past few days while I've been gone. I had family in town and now I am back. I appreciate all the comments.
ReplyDeleteI love welding, and those tables are awesome!! Man, I'd like to get back into making things. I love building stuff with wood, glass, metal. I especially love mixing it up: wood with insets of tile, glass or metal; holes with leather braided. So fun! :)

What gorgeous tables. A pity you're so far away because my dad would love one of these.
ReplyDeleteOh how neat! Love it as a plant stand :)

Great work. You brother is lucky, enjoying what he does. A lot of us are not that fortunate :-)
