Welcome to a new weekly blog post I'm calling, Raturday! I've seen Caturday and while that's really cute, I think the rats needs some photo time so everyone can see how cute these little animals are. I've gotten permission from Rat Logic's fb page to share their pictures on my blog. So get ready to smile because these are cute.
I love the one - it followed me home. Another fun post :)

ReplyDeleteThese pictures are so CUTE! Love the captions!
ReplyDeleteMy son used to raise mice and rats. He had a baby white rat named Sugarmouse. She was so sweet. I learned a good bit about mice because of his breeding. Did you know that rats and mice are mortal enemies, and a rat will kill a mouse instantly?
ReplyDeleteYou can take a ziplock bag, put some of the bedding from a pet rat's cage into it, then seal and poke a few holes in the plastic so that the rat's scent can escape. Place one of those wherever you hear mice, and in a week, the mice will have left. True story.
Did you know that mice groom each other, and will not eliminate where they eat and sleep, if possible? They are as clean as cats. Of course, this presupposes that the mice have clean food and water. I'm not suggesting that common mice do not spread disease.
Did you know that when the mama mouse is tired of nursing the babies, she will walk away and the daddy comes over, carefully straddling the babies, and lets them sort of nurse on him? Not his genitals, but his belly. Rather like a cat that tries to nurse in your hair, kneading with his paws and purring. That's what I mean.
Shelley- I like that one too.
ReplyDeletePat- I'm sure he is. Mine always are.
