I gave corn to all the rats and Lucky is the only one who didn't go hide with it.
I think he likes having his picture taken. lol Rats love corn but it should always be fresh corn on the cob. There's a discussion going on in most rat forums that want dried corn taken out of the bagged food because some dried corn has shown to have small pockets of mold inside it that can make rats sick. So if you give rats a bagged food, it should be something like Oxbow, not a seed mix that has dried corn in it.
Lucky is certainly a photogenic little ratty. :-) I wish I could get Yoda and Wicket to sit still long enough for a photo session!
ReplyDeleteOne of the things I'm enjoying most with the new boys is trying new food with them. We had chips, chicken and sweetcorn for tea the other day and they tried a little of everything. Considering the way the sweetcorn disappeared I think it was a hit!
Oh that Lucky, such a cute little feller. Would you believe I've never had corn in my life? I would make a terrible rat.
ReplyDeleteI've seen the dried corn made for birds and squirrels and some do look rather disgusting.
ReplyDeleteCorn I avoid at my sea, the rats can have my share
ReplyDeleteClick- Thank you. My Flower is a little ball of energy and I have a hard time getting her to sit still long enough to take pictures. But they seem to slow down a little bit around the 16 month mark. Flower and Scribbles are only 8 months old so they have lots of extra energy.
ReplyDeleteKeith- Never? Why?
Adam- Oh I agree. If I buy bird seed, I buy the bags with no corn in it.
Pat- No corn for you either? Don't like it?
Well he'd love my house right now. There's corn everywhere after a freezer mishap.
ReplyDeleteso very cute!
ReplyDeleteIt is unanimous then--everyone likes corn! Haha, we love late summer up this way when the corn crop is plentiful.
ReplyDeleteThat's one happy rat. Cute looking too.
