Product Review: Bob's Red Mill Cornbread Mix

Bob's Red Mill was nice enough to send me two coupons so that I could try two of their products for free and this was one of them.

Several of my friends are on gluten free diets so I like to find products that are gluten free and taste good to try out and let them know about them. This mix is simple to make. You just mix the right amount with milk, butter and egg and bake it. I usually make my own cornbread because I like it a little sweeter than most people do but I have to say that this was really good. I think the next batch I make I'll add a little sugar to it so that it's the sweetness that I like but hubby found this to be really good, he called it the traditional taste of cornbread, which I guess most people like. Me, I like it sweeter.

I would definitely get this mix again to have on hand if I wanted to make a cornbread real fast. It was pretty good.

Disclaimer: I was sent a coupon for a free product but all opinions are my own.

  1. Cornbread isn't something we have a lot down here. I'm glad it was a win for you!

    1. I grew up having corn bread a lot. My mom and her parents were from Ohio and West Virginia and ate a lot of country food when I was a kid.

  5. I love good cornbread. I pour some milk on top while it's still hot to make it moist. Yum. Also, you're a thoughtful friend for helping your buddies look for good alternatives.

  6. I have used this and liked it. I added one teaspoon of sugar to the recipe just to make it more of a sweet corn bread.

  7. I don't eat it often, but like, Mary, I like it to be sweet. Love the review. Hugs...Ro
