I've been using Country Crock for years because I like the buttery taste and I like how it melts nicely into mashed potatoes and vegetables. I've used it for baking cookies, cakes and even making bread in my bread machine and it always works great. The thing I like most is that if I use it to saute vegetables, I don't have to worry about it burning like real butter does. I can use this on a medium high heat and I won't get that dark color or burnt butter flavor that happens when butter browns or burns. This works well for me which is why I've used it for years and I love the new package design.
I made a big bowl of mashed potatoes to go along with dinner and used Country Crock margarine in them and everyone loved them and dinner.
Disclosure: I was sent a coupon for a free tub of Country Crock Margarine via Influenster.
We only use margerine for grilled cheese sandwiches and it is Country Crock.
ReplyDeleteThat's what we use for grilled cheese too.
DeleteDon't think I've ever used margerine on anything, surprising, right? lol
ReplyDeleteNo, I kinda figured. lol
DeleteCountry Crock does make a good margarine.
ReplyDeleteYeah, they do.
DeleteI used to use that all the time, because it did taste really good and was inexpensive, but in my attempt to eat more healthy I started using more butter. Great review.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a nice brand it seems. Greetings to you!
ReplyDeleteI don't think we have that brand over here. It does sound nice.
ReplyDeleteI use the dutch brand "Zeeuws Meisje" butter for everything from baking to mashed potatoes named, it's cheap and good.
When I'm not using real butter, Country Crock is my go-to brand, too. Now you have me hungry, Mary. :)
ReplyDeleteMy mom got that often when I was younger
