So I really like Strawberry shortcake but I didn't have those little round cakes to make them, but I did have a box of yellow cake mix. So here's what I did.
Follow the directions on the box of Yellow Cake Mix, bake, cool and cut into serving sizes.
Top cake portions with a thin layer of Hersheys Chocolate Spread.
Add a spoonful of diced Strawberries and top with whip cream.
Ken loved it and so did my daughter.

ReplyDeleteYeah, I just had one small piece because I have diabetes.
DeleteLooks awesome! :-)
ReplyDeleteIt was so good.
DeleteYum. I make Strawberry Shortcakes using the recipe on Bisquick box. I then add strawberries and vanilla ice cream. DH adds milk instead of ice cream, which I think is gross. I think need to make some now that you mention it. :-)

Oh that sounds good. I love biscuits made with bisquick.
DeleteI'm excited for our planned strawberry picking! I make a lazy/deconstructed version of this by getting pound cake at the grocery, cut it in cubes, put it in serving cups, pile lots of whipped cream, fresh strawberries, and a few chocolate shavings.
ReplyDeleteLazy!
it sounds good though.
DeleteYum! I'd totally eat that :D
