My Review
I received a sample of this product courtesy of Swaggable. This is the first time that I've tried this product and it really wasn't to my liking.

I love sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds and nuts but I like them to be roasted and salted when I eat them. These re just shelled raw hemp hearts with nothing extra and really no flavor. They did taste a little like sunflower seeds if the sunflower seeds were softer, smaller and sweeter. I've tried pine nuts and they don't taste like pine nuts but they really didn't have much of a taste at all. I ate them straight from the package and I guess if I had used them in a muffin or roasted them and used them in a recipe they might have been better but they weren't good enough for me to bother.
They sound healthier than chi seeds, but I'm with you, I need a little salt even when it's supposed to be healthy for you. (lol) Hugs...RO
ReplyDeleteRoasted and salted sunflower seeds are my favorite seeds. These were just eh.
DeleteDoesn't sound like something I would like either. I have never heard of them before. Oh well. Better luck on your next try.

Yeah, it's interesting to try new things even if some of them aren't all that great.
DeleteI actually tried those before, surprising huh?, lol meh is what I thought at my shore
ReplyDeleteIt is surprising but I'm with you on the meh.
DeleteI've added flax to hot cereal and yogurt and I can see where this would be something of the same. I can imagine the blandness.
ReplyDeleteI've had a sample of a cereal with flax seed in it. Not my favorite at all.
Deleteit doesn't attract me but I'm sorry to hear it wasn't to your liking
ReplyDeleteThat's okay. Maybe the next thing I try will be.
DeleteHmm, maybe in my yogurt.
ReplyDeleteYeah maybe.
DeleteI do like roasted, salted too
ReplyDeleteMe too.
DeleteThanks for sharing your opinion...I wonder if I'd like it?
ReplyDeleteI don't know. Depends on if you like raw seeds with not much taste.
DeleteI never heard of these, too bad these weren't to your taste. Maybe in a dish or muffin they would taste better.
ReplyDeleteMaybe they would be good in that.
DeleteZero sugar?
ReplyDeleteZero sugar, zero taste too. lol
DeleteIt sounds nasty! I'm wondering why in the world Pat tried this, of all things! LOL
ReplyDeleteLOL I wondered that too.
DeleteErgs. I have a set of these to try out as well and they're making me nervous :/
ReplyDeleteWhile they're not bad, they just aren't good.
