Wow, I learned that the average woman uses 16,000 tampons over time, and that no federal law requires makers to disclose the ingredients in them. Protecting the right to know is important for all women in our lives. Learn more about this! #comeclean #generationgood
Seventh Generation is proud to be partnering with Women’s Voices for the Earth, leading a movement that is fighting for a woman’s right to know what is in the pads and tampons she uses. If you'd like to know more, read this article.
Disclosure: This blog post was a mission from Seventh Generation that I'll receive points for completing.
Give Orange Hilter enough time and we won't even get to know what's in our food
ReplyDeletelol Hopefully it won't come to that.
DeleteNever used them, dunno why
ReplyDeleteA lot of people don't.
DeleteEven then they still lie their arse off, ohhh it is whatever free, yeah free below a certain percent that let's them say it is free.
ReplyDeleteThat is very true.
DeleteI never thought about it, but yeah, I have no idea what's in them. Hmm...
ReplyDeleteI don't either.
DeleteToxic shock syndrome scared me away years ago!
ReplyDeleteUnderstandable.
DeleteI remember toxic shock syndrome but I never knew what it was.
ReplyDeleteMy mom was always telling me about it too.
DeleteThis is very surprising. Food and medicine require full disclosure of ingredients, why shouldn't tampons? Similarly diapers and other products should show ingredients. For now it is safe to assume that companies have something to hide.
ReplyDeleteAlso, it does not matter that you wrote this post for 'points', because the matter was worth raising. I would not have got to know about it if it wasn't for your post.
I found it surprising too. Thank you for your kind words. I didn't realize any of this until I read it either.
DeleteYou would think all products would be required to show the ingredients in them, quite important for things like tampons, nappies etc.(I think you call them diapers).
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Yeah we do call them diapers here. There should be an ingredient list.
