      Rats are so much more social than hamsters. They actually want to come out and get held and petted. I hope he chooses a rat.

    I was just talking to a friend that I haven't seen in a while. His kid has 5 rats, two of which are feeder rats that she got as rescued. They sounded so cute when he talked about them and he isn't much of animal person.
