This is a new weekly blog post that I'm calling Apartment Hell Life. I've mentioned a few times some of the crazy things that go on in and around my apartment complex in the past 20 years that we've lived here and people keep telling me I should write a book. But instead of a book, I've decided to share the crazy things that have happened in and around my apartment complex in the last 20 years here in a weekly blog post.
It's not a very good picture but there are two police cars here, one in back of the one shown. The police showed up on Wednesday because 2 of my neighbors got into a shouting match that only lasted for a few minutes but one neighbor said he was going to set fire to his apartment and since he lives right next door to the other guy, he got worried. The police came, took statements and no one was arrested. No fires have broken out so that's good.
It was quiet the rest of the week.
So that's it for this week's Apartment Hell Life! Be sure to come back next week for more.
No fires have broken out
ReplyDelete.....yet.
These people are nutcases and the management should be able to evict them for making such a threat. The guy was probably intimidated by the cops showing up, but there's no telling what he might do in a few days. Make sure your smoke alarm has a good battery, and hope that the management gets tired of presiding over a lunatic asylum.
We're getting a new manager on Monday so we'll see how proactive she is.
DeleteSigh. A quiet week sounds like a rarity. Which would do my head in.
ReplyDeleteI've gotten used to the craziness.
DeleteNo fires is always a win, people, ugg.
ReplyDeleteI know. So crazy.
DeleteAs they say 'no news is good news'.
ReplyDeleteIt seems to me that police shows up at your complex, quite quickly - in a matter of minutes. That's comforting, as in many places it takes longer for them to arrive.
They do get here pretty fast.
DeleteQuite the threat. Some people when they get angry...
ReplyDeleteI know. People are nuts.
DeleteA slow week in your neck of the woods!
ReplyDeleteThere are also 3 empty apartments in my courtyard so that might have something to do with it.
DeleteHa ha, that's crazy whether a scare tactic or not-anything hear say in your neck of the woods needs to be taken seriously. I'm embarrassed to admit that I cried "Wolf" two times in my building. One for a too loud party that had the party guests fleeing like ..well like fleas. and the the other one was for the fire department when it smelt like terrible gas.
ReplyDeleteWe were on the look out for fire for a few hours.
DeleteQuiet is good and I sure hop it stays that way!
ReplyDeleteI can only hope.
DeleteA quiet week at your place still has excitement!!
ReplyDeleteI wonder if I'll ever have a week where there's nothing to post about. lol
DeleteToo bad you can't cancel the events for a nice quiet week. :)
ReplyDeleteYeah that would be nice.
DeleteNo fires are a good thing haha! :) Seriously though, you never know with neighbor disputes. They can get out of hand quickly.
ReplyDeleteI've seen that happen to many times.
DeleteThat is a very calm week
ReplyDeleteit was.
DeleteSounds odd neighbours. And I like all the stories you share. Some are really scary!
ReplyDeletesometimes it's scary around here.
DeleteBut though calm, the cops were there!
ReplyDeleteThey were but no one was arrested so it was ok.
Delete**shakes head** Wonder what they were arguing about.

Who knows.
DeleteI'm surprised he didn't go to jail.
ReplyDeleteI am too.
DeleteOh my...no fires have broken out yet. Your neighbors sound interesting.
ReplyDeleteSimply Angela
Interesting is one way to put it.
Deleteyeah at least things were calm
ReplyDeleteYeah, I was happy.
DeleteGood Lord...
ReplyDeletelol But it was a calm week.
DeleteI'm starting to think some of your neighbors belong in a mental institution.
ReplyDeleteI think you're right.
