This is a new weekly blog post that I'm calling Apartment Hell Life. I've mentioned a few times some of the crazy things that go on in and around my apartment complex in the past 20 years that we've lived here and people keep telling me I should write a book. But instead of a book, I've decided to share the crazy things that have happened in and around my apartment complex in the last 20 years here in a weekly blog post.
This week the police helicopter was up flying right over my complex on three different days. No police cars showed up though which was weird. I have no idea why the police helicopter kept flying over my complex though but it was loud because he was so low and I was able to get a couple of pictures.
When they fly really low it shakes the entire apartment and it's really loud. There were several people outside taking pictures of the helicopter. I wish I knew why they kept coming back for though. Things have been pretty quiet around here lately.
So that's it for this week's Apartment Hell Life! Be sure to come back next week for more.
I used to find it exciting to see the police helicopter but now I barely stir when I hear it! My dad loves to take photos of it too!
ReplyDeleteThey're here so often you;d think that I wouldn't get excited anymore too.
DeleteMaybe they were just waiting for trouble. Glad it never happened.
ReplyDeleteThat could very well be.
DeleteThey are super loud! We get med vac ones flying over us sometimes.
ReplyDeleteYeah they are loud.
DeleteYes, those things are loud. Sometimes the news helicopter flies low here and the Medvac helicopter lands close sometimes too.
ReplyDeleteI see the news helicopters here all the time because we are so close to the freeway.
DeleteWell quiet is good, even though the helicopter wanted to interrupt that.
ReplyDeleteYeah at least I didn't see anything else this week.
DeleteWe had helicopters around my house this week but I knew that they were there to look at all of the accidents from ice on the highways near me. I would be very curious what this one was looking for!
ReplyDeleteOh that will do it. I don't know what this one was looking for.
DeleteThat's kinda creepy the chopper was just flying around.
ReplyDeleteIt's not the first time I've seen this happen.
DeleteWhen there's one circling around our area it's because an inmate on a work crew decided to walk away or because someone robbed a store or something up the road and is now on the loose. Or, the news copters that don't seem to realize that NO ONE CARES about the aerial footage of a fire in the warehouse district at FIVE AM.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking someone robbed the store next door and they were looking for them.
DeleteWe get them all the time. I don't even bother to look any more.
ReplyDeleteI was expecting to see police cars on my street.
DeleteThat's so weird! Hopefully it's nothing serious.

I have no idea.
DeleteStrange indeed but at least it has been quiet.
ReplyDeleteI like it being quiet.
DeleteI always wonder how they can see anything that high up.
ReplyDeleteI think they have some sort of special camera.
DeleteWe saw a police helicopter fly over when we were in LA this past summer and we were able to find some local news about what was going on. You should do an internet search and see if you can find it! :-)

I always do but so much happens here that the news only reports on the big stuff it seems.
DeleteWe lived not too far from a convenience store, and it was hit a few times. One time at night the helicopter had a spot light on our backyard and policemen asking to go in the back.
ReplyDeleteOne of those days.
Damn, that's crazy.
DeleteThey are looking for E.T.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't doubt it.
DeleteThe police here don't have a chopper. Anyhow I believe the SWAT vechile has a flat
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on
Oh wow.
DeleteWhenever I used to see one of those, I always thought: "Oh crap. Who is on the run and why?" lol
ReplyDeleteI think that too.
DeleteMan that place is eventful! We had a numbnut drive into a telephone pole this morning and the police used our road for a detour and idiots were speeding down our street all morning. Fortunately, that's usually the only type of excitement we see around here.
ReplyDeleteThat's enough excitement for one day.
DeleteThat would sure have me wondering
ReplyDeleteIt did me too.
DeleteI saw the coastguard helicopter the other day, not flying fast though so I don't think there was an emergency.
ReplyDeleteThe aircraft that freak me out are the fighter jets that zoom over our static caravan. There. Gone. And so blooming loud!!
Oh wow, yeah loud aircraft would be disconcerting.
DeleteWe get military helicopters flying over our village all the time... We're fairly close to one of the bases and they often fly out our way because there are less restrictions with time, altitude etc due to population density or some such... They are freaking loud.
ReplyDeleteWe have military aircraft flying overhead during red flag exercises.
