Apartment Life #217

This is a new weekly blog post that I'm calling Apartment Hell  Life. I've mentioned a few times some of the crazy things that go on in and around my apartment complex in the past 21 years that we've lived here and people keep telling me I should write a book. But instead of a book, I've decided to share the crazy things that have happened in and around my apartment complex in the last 21 years here in a weekly blog post.

This week was fairly quiet in my neighborhood but while I was outside with Falcor on one of his walks I spotted this used needle. I picked it up and put it in the trash so the kids around here wouldn't get it. My 7 year old grandson is at my apartment most of the week and I wouldn't want him to find something like this outside.

Other than finding this needle that I suspect one of the many drug addicts around here left behind and hearing gunshots down the street late at night on Tuesday, it was a quiet week.

So that's it for this week's Apartment Hell  Life! Be sure to come back next week for more.

  1. I am glad that it was a quiet(ish) week for you. Hearing gunshots would do my head in.

    1. They sounded about a block away so not so near.

  2. Nowadays, discarded masks and gloves, replace the once discarded condoms and needles. Still, needles are still found in certain sites frequented by addicts.

  7. It was an interesting week for me. I picked up someone who was working at the floyd memorial center, guarding the memorials and such, so he's doing good work.

Wow. The place where you live has redefined your concept of "quiet". Gunshots...yikes.

  14. Finding stuff like that so close to home is awful. We have a few junkies in the street beside us but to be fair they keep their business over there most of the time.

    1. Most of the time the homeless keep to themselves and don't leave things laying around but once in a while...

  15. Glad you had a quiet week. Here it's been a noisy week as all the schools have reopened and the kids are back after six months at home.

  16. Gunshots are usually on the west side of my city, so thankfully I don't ever hear them where I'm at. Nor do I find needles. Both would be quite unsettling to me.
