This is a new weekly blog post that I'm calling Apartment Hell Life. I've mentioned a few times some of the crazy things that go on in and around my apartment complex in the past 22 years that we've lived here and people keep telling me I should write a book. But instead of a book, I've decided to share the crazy things that have happened in and around my apartment complex in the last 22 years here in a weekly blog post.
So the pictures didn't come out great because I grabbed the cell phone that my daughter gave me instead of my camera because it was closer. The Marshall's came and behind that green metal tree where they were standing was a homeless tent made from wood palettes, blankets and cardboard. I watched as the Marshall's went over to the tent and started throwing the blankets off and started jumping on the wood palettes to break them. They made the homeless people get up and leave. The way they did it though was messed up.

On Thursday a couple of maintenance guys were cleaning the gutters on the roof across from me and my building and I heard one say that there was a bunch of crack pipes up there because people keep throwing them up there. At least they're throwing them away. Good grief.
So that's it for this week's Apartment Hell Life! Be sure to come back next week for more.
Crack pipes clogging up the gutters? good grief.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, the methods they used to move the homeless people on sounds very wrong.
I thought so too.
DeleteSuch a mess, ugh 😏🤷♂️
ReplyDeleteI know.
DeleteCrack pipes on the roof? You really need to find a safer place to live.
ReplyDeleteI know.
DeleteThe way they moved the homeless people sounds a bit rough. Not sure what else they could have done though.
ReplyDeleteCan't say I've ever found crack pipes in my gutters!
I don't know what else they cold have done either.
DeleteThat is so messed up!
ReplyDeleteI know.
DeleteApartment complexes are a jungle even if they don't look like it.
ReplyDeleteNow it's going to be even worse, I suppose. Lots of people in debt and without jobs, the virus out there causing ravages, and innocent people feeling helpless.
Yes, lots of people are having a hard time right now.
DeleteI didn’t know people would throw away crack pipes. They’re not reusable? Lol, I’m not up on drug user habits.
ReplyDeleteMaybe when the glass breaks from being heated too many times? Or they see police. lol
DeleteWow, what an interesting thing for people to throw in the gutters.
ReplyDeleteNicole @ Feed Your Fiction Addiction
Yeah, sure surprised me.
DeleteThey are a wee bit mixed up, maybe too much pipe time?!?!
ReplyDeleteThat very well could be.
DeleteThe area you live is wild. Love your stories.
ReplyDeleteThank you. I'm glad you are enjoying these posts.
DeleteThey were very rough to the homeless people...And crack pipes in the gutters now? Goodness.
ReplyDeleteI thought they were rough with them too.
DeleteCrack pipes on the roof, oh my
ReplyDeleteYeah, not the place that I thought they would be.
DeleteThe places people think of to get rid of the crack pipes. What will they think of next. There must be a better way to get homeless people to move along, like a program would be a nice place to start.
ReplyDeleteI wish there were more programs for the homeless around here.
DeleteI wouldn't think that you would throw your crack pipe on the roof. It is too bad that they can't find a different way to help the homeless.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't think so either but I guess they did.
DeleteDefinitely not the most humane approach to move the homeless.
ReplyDeleteNo, it wasn't.
DeleteThey have a real homeless problem there. I am not sure how they can fix it anymore.
ReplyDeleteA lot of them don't want help because they are on drugs are have mental illness.
DeleteOh so problematic situation darling
ReplyDeletexx
Yes it is.
DeleteIt's complicated...
ReplyDeleteIt is.
DeleteYou already know how I feel about those who are homeless, so to hear how they were treated so unkindly saddens me. I know there are rules, but surely that could have been handled differently. Hugs and hope you are well! RO
ReplyDeleteI'm sure it could have been handled differently but I've seen this happen several times.
DeletePoor hobos, but in all honesty nobody wants them near their home, sadly. As Ro said, they could've handled it more gently.
ReplyDeleteYeah it could have been handled differently.
DeleteWow we really need to change the way we treat our homeless population a lot of whom are military vets.
ReplyDeleteYeah, something should be done.
DeleteSounds like it's an ongoing problem with no easy solutions. I hope the drug users stay out of your neck of the woods.
ReplyDeleteThey really only bother the people they get the drugs from.
DeleteAww I feel for those homeless people.
ReplyDeleteI know. I wish there were more services for them.
DeleteSounds like a situation that could have been better handled. I am always amazed at all you see from your apartment!
ReplyDelete~Jess
yeah it could have been.
DeleteCrack pipes in the gutters...words pretty much fail me really. What a nightmare.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I wasn't expecting him to say that ether.
