My daughter and I love Halloween but she likes it even more than I do. So much so that she couldn't wait for October to start decorating. This is our living room window during the day.
This is what it looks like at night with the lights turned on.
This is the shelves and cabinet. There's a little Halloween tree in the middle there.
One of the corners in the living room.
Another corner of the living room.
I made that pumpkin tree a few years ago. I bought all the supplies at Michael's and glued it all together. I think it's cute.
The wall above the couch. The spiders hanging down from the ceiling are attached to a plastic web that goes from one end to the other of my living room.
This is the wall that leads to the hallway, bathroom and bedroom.
The monster over the bathroom door,
Some of the statues light up. This is what it looks like at night.
My grandson painted a pumpkin that we put on the cabinet.
My daughter added lights to the Halloween tree on the cabinet.
Do you decorate for Halloween?
My fav is the light up ghost
ReplyDeleteThank you. My daughter loves that too.
DeleteRotten blogger is refusing to load the images for me. I will revisit later and hope it has relented.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your Halloween.
Wow. Blogger relented and I was able to see the images on a revisit. Thank you.
DeleteI'm so glad you were able to see them.
DeleteHi, Mary!
ReplyDeleteWow, you guys are all set for H-ween, dear friend! Your living room window scene glowing with eerie light at night is a fright to behold. Inside, you have a remarkable display no matter which direction you turn. I never heard of a Halloween tree before, but I like yours. Clearly you and your daughter love this time of the year and go all out. During my second bachelorhood in the 1980s, I had vintage horror movies posters lining my living room walls all year round, plus life-size cardboard cutouts of Freddy Krueger and Elvira Mistress of the Dark standing guard over them. (Cassandra Peterson is now age 70.) All of your decorations pop when the sun goes down and the lights come on.
Enjoy the rest of your week, dear friend Mary!
There was a Ray Bradbury novel called The Halloween Tree. I don't know if Halloween trees were a thing before that, but they certainly are now.
DeleteMy daughter saw pictures of other people's Halloween tree's and wanted to make one. Ours had tiny Halloween ornaments on it as well as the lights.
DeleteWow. Just...wow. That is a lot! However, all lit, your window looks amazing.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry, there are dozens of houses in our neighborhood who also have Halloween decorations up.
We love decorating. We decorate for Christmas too.
DeleteWhat a set of displays! I assume the skulls are those of some of your annoying neighbors? Locally-sourced organic decorations are always the most environmentally friendly.
ReplyDeleteSeriously, it's impressive. And having put it up early, you'll have a whole month (at least) to enjoy it.
I don't decorate any more since it's just me here. I do eventually "decorate" the blog with Halloween posts, though.
Thank you. My daughter loves to decorate for the holidays. We will decorate for Christmas too.
DeleteToo bad they aren't the skulls of my neighbors but I can fantasize.
That is absolutely fantastic. I love fall and I love Halloween! And I love seeing the festive "spirit" coming out now! (see what I did there, spirit, Halloween) :)
ReplyDeletelol I did see. Thank you. I love this time of year too.
DeleteHalloween goes by too quickly not to decorate early :)
ReplyDeleteExactly. My grandson loves the decorations too.
DeleteWe do decorate, but maybe 5% of what you do! I like your various lights. Your grandson sure has grown!
ReplyDeleteThank you. Yeah he's 8 now.
DeleteI thought I decorated for fall until I saw your pictures. Haha! Wow, all of it looks great. Neat that you crafted some of it.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much.
DeleteYou went all out this year! My favorite is the last picture with the Halloween tree.
ReplyDeleteThank you. My daughter did most of it.
DeleteAll those decorations are quite impressive. I never seen a Halloween tree before but yours looks very cool. Enjoy the month, it could be scary. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteWow! So many fun decorations. I love how your window lights up at night. I used to decorate a little for Halloween, but I don't do very much any more.
ReplyDeleteI probably wouldn't do much either but my daughter loves it.
DeleteEverything sure looks spooky cool! We don't do much for Halloween outside but we do inside!
ReplyDeleteThanks. I we don't outside because it would just get stolen.
DeleteYou go hard. I love it! I really liked the window lighting. Colors are great!
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteI love Halloween and am just excited to start decorating as your daughter. She really does go all out, and I love it. I'm more restrained with doing my door and putting out a few Halloween themed items. This year I'll be adding lights to the patio and a window decal. Do you get trick or treaters? I don't, but wish we did.
ReplyDeleteThank you. We don't get trick or treaters anymore. Haven't in years.
DeleteI'm total in Halloween. Us pagan called Samhain.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on and stay safe
I know. I love this time of year.
DeleteHalloween is my favorite holiday, and I love, love, love your decorations. Your daughter did a fantastic job with them!
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteThat's some nice pictures!
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteThat decor would give me jeepers creepers LOL
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet child your grandson is! Hope he has a nice and peaceful childhood.
Thank you. So far he's a pretty happy kid.
DeleteThis is perfect! It's so cool that you go all out with your decorating. It all looks awesome, and I'd leave it up year round. Great job!!
ReplyDeleteShe probably would but we also decorate for Christmas. lol Thank you.
DeleteI'm impressed with all the decorating. It looks good. I am slack in the decorating department. This year I want to try to do Christmas decorations which will be the first time in almost 20 years.
ReplyDeleteThank you. I hope you do and post some pictures.
DeleteHow wonderful! I love it. I have my fall stuff up now and will put my Halloween stuff up this weekend.
ReplyDeleteI hope you post some pictures.
DeleteThis is amazing! It's like a Halloween paradise. I ccan only put out a few things because of my bratty cats and clumsy people around here breaking my things.
ReplyDeleteThank you. I can imagine that having cats would make decorating hard.
Delete"The monster over the bathroom door"
ReplyDelete😆
You went all out, didn't you? LOL. I especially love the pumpkin tree!
Yeah we usually go all out inside our apartment each year.
DeleteI love Halloween, too! 🎃 Your decorations are spooktastic!
ReplyDeleteYour grandson is super cute. 🤗
Thank you so much.
