This is a weekly blog post that I'm calling Apartment Hell Life. I've mentioned a few times some of the crazy things that go on in and around my apartment complex in the past 24 years that we've lived here and people keep telling me I should write a book. But instead of a book, I've decided to share the crazy things that have happened in and around my apartment complex in the last 24 years here in a weekly blog post.
I actually took some video of the police helicopter flying over my apartment complex during the day. So you can see a little more than a phantom light flying in the darkness. LOL
The police showed up as well and were driving around my street. Then they went into the alley for the apartment complex across the street but the tree's are so over grown over there that I couldn't get any pictures of the police walking around over there.
No one was arrested so I guess that's good? Not sure what or who they were looking for though.

The high this week was 53F/11C
The low this week was 26F/-3 C
So that's it for this week's Apartment Hell Life! Be sure to come back next week for more.
It sounds as if the police really need to have a permanent presence in your neighbourhood. I am looking at your temperatures with envy. We are hot here, and going to get hotter.
ReplyDeleteThey should just rent one of the vacant apartments. Preferably the one across from drug dealer's apartment.
DeleteHi, Mary!
ReplyDeleteSeems like a "sleepy week" on your block, dear friend. It must have come as a pleasant surprise not to have your slumber interrupted by the sounds of people arguing and fighting, gunfire and sirens. Since you rarely learn the specifics behind police presence in the neighborhood, it will probably remain a mystery what sort of criminal activity drew the boys and girls in blue there to comb the alley while eyes in the sky looked down at the scene.
I see your overnight temp is dropping well below freezing now, adding to the plight of the homeless.
I wish you and your little family a safe and happy week ahead, dear friend Mary!
It was a more quiet week.
DeleteYou're in for a cold week. So are we.
ReplyDeleteIt's been cold for a while now. I don't mind though, I sure prefer it to the Summer.
DeleteHoly Moly, it's gonna get cold!
ReplyDeleteYeah it has been.
DeleteI saw two police cars flying down my street two days ago but never heard what happened.
ReplyDeleteI hardly ever hear why they are here either.
DeleteSeems it's a new year with business as usual over there. Over here, we've had yet another resident take a fall in her unit, cracked her skull but is recuperating.
ReplyDeletePoor thing. Dang. Yeah its always the same around here.
DeleteSounds like the chaos is a notch down for the new year, let's hope it improves for you in 22.
ReplyDeleteWe just had our warmest new year's eve ever. 12C/54F.
I can hope things quiet down.
DeleteHopefully all that police presence are keeping some of the loonies at bay a bit...
ReplyDeleteThat would be nice.
DeleteThis weather has been wild.
ReplyDeleteYes, it has.
DeleteI hate it when the police can't find who they are looking for, usually I assume it's me.
ReplyDeletelol Why would it be you?
DeleteSounds like a quieter week for you. The colder weather probably helped.
ReplyDeleteThat's true, it probably did.
DeleteNo rest for the wicked--or the police. We've had similar temperatures here. I have been happy to see the sun out the last couple of days--but I'll be missing the rain again soon I'm sure. I hope you have a great week. Happy New Year, Mary!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year toy you as well.
DeleteThe police helicopter always makes you wonder what's going on.
ReplyDeleteI do wonder what they are looking for.
DeleteWow how scary! We had a helicopter flying around the north side of our neighborhood a few weeks ago, we didn't know anything except they said stay inside and lock your door. Definitely scary.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to go back and look at the rest of these posts because this is definitely intriguing.
Ash @ Essentially Ash
I hope you do. It seems there's always something going on around here.
DeleteI suppose it's good that no one got arrested---assuming no one dangerous is still around, of course!
ReplyDeleteYeah, hopefully that's not the case.
DeleteI'm not sure if it's a good/bad thing no one was arrested. I mean, I hope they weren't out to arrest someone, but if they were, I kind of hope they would have caught the person just to be safe.
ReplyDeleteI hope so too.
DeleteCan't imagine how much monies your city wastes on police chopers!
ReplyDeleteYeah, I know. They seem to be up alot.
DeleteHopefully you have a quiet week this week!
ReplyDeleteI hope so too.
DeleteQuite the week
ReplyDeleteALso, wow, only 11c?
Yeah, it does get cold here but no one believed me. lol
DeleteI didn't realize you got below freezing temps out there. Is that normal? 🥶
ReplyDeleteYeah especially in December which is our coldest month.
