Favorite Song of the Week
Last week I told you I was going to share other kinds of music I like and this week it's 2 of my favorite KPOP songs. Yep, I like KPOP. I listen to all kinds of music. I hope you enjoy these.
I didn't know what style of music to expect from you today, and I am pleasantly surprised to find another genre that is of interest to me. As you might expect, I prefer listening to and watching K-pop girl groups. I actually posted several videos in that category on my old blog SDMM back in the mid 2010s. However, I also thoroughly enjoyed the these two South Korean boy bands.
From the start of each video, you can sense the endless hours of training and rehearsal that these 15 young men (8 of them in Ateez and 7 in BTS aka Bangtan Boys) underwent to bring you these super tight dance performances. The song styling of both acts is heavily influenced by hip hop, underground rap and trap. The Ateez music video "Hala Hala (Hearts Awakened, Live Alive)" was released in 2019. The BTS song and video "Fake Love" were released in 2018 and topped the South Korean singles chart as well as the K-Pop Hot 100.
Thanks for introducing these two great Korean boy bands, dear friend Mary. Just a reminder that I think you'd enjoy watching the Korean survival drama Squid Game if you haven't already done so.
Have a super Saturday and I'll be back to see you tamale, dear friend Mary!
K-Pop is one of those genres that is hated to death and then loved to pieces lol. No one is ever just kinda 'meh' about K-Pop that I've met. I like these songs.
This is an Award-Free blog. It is a lovely gesture, but I am unable to comply with the terms of the awards so I have made this an Award-Free blog. Thank You for understanding.
A new style to me. Still thinking about it - but glad that you like it.
