This is a weekly blog post that I'm calling Apartment Hell Life. I've mentioned a few times some of the crazy things that go on in and around my apartment complex in the past 24 years that we've lived here and people keep telling me I should write a book. But instead of a book, I've decided to share the crazy things that have happened in and around my apartment complex in the last 24 years here in a weekly blog post.
A couple of police cars were across the street this week. I don't know what they went across the street for but they didn't stay long.
The apartments across the street have had a lot of police activity in recent weeks.
We bought a new couch on Wednesday. My old one was 12 years old and was falling apart. This is so much nicer and more comfortable.
Funny enough, the people who live 2 apartments down and across from me were moving a couch in their living room and accidentally bumped into the wall with it and that's all it took to break the living room window. Maintenance put up a board until they can fix the window. It's $80 for every window they have to replace so that's an expensive accident.

Warning... Porn video sounds. You have to turn the sound up if you want to hear it.
My door slamming neighbor who likes to point his speaker out the door and listen to music was watching porn on Friday and he had his door open. He kept playing the same few minutes over and over and turned it even louder at some parts.
I posted a short video of what I was hearing, over on Twitter but I posted it here as well in case we aren't friends on Twitter.
I'm @scarymary66 on Twitter.

The low this week was 32F/0 C
So that's it for this week's Apartment Hell Life! Be sure to come back next week for more.
Yikes, the broken window is a big booboo. Your couch does look cozy and I like the color.
ReplyDeleteOh my, porn of constant replay would make me nuts. LOL
He's done the porn really loud a few times now. I do like the new couch.
DeletePassing on the porn sounds.
ReplyDeleteThat was on brittle window if hitting the wall broke it.
Our walls are really thin, it's really just a couple of 2x4's and some sheet rock. I'm not surprised it broke by hitting the wall near it.
DeleteHi, Mary!
ReplyDeleteFun, fun, fun, dear friend!
I'm starting to think they serve donuts at those apartments across from you. That would explain the constant police presence.
That's a pretty sofa. I'm glad you could replace the old worn out couch.
I have identified those "porn sounds" as the classic scene from I Love Lucy in which noises made by Fred & Ethel came through the walls and kept the Ricardos awake all night.
Have a safe and happy week, dear friend Mary!
Not sure that's where the porn sounds are from. LOL
DeleteI'd serve donuts if the police would walk through over here and catch drug dealer. lol
That turning up the porn sounds is hilarious. Perhaps, showing off he's watching it to deflect the fact he's not getting it.
ReplyDeleteI would not doubt that at all.
Delete$80 for a window is crazy.
ReplyDeleteThat's how much this place charges though.
DeleteThat’s a nice couch! I’m too afraid to listen to the porn sounds.
ReplyDeletelol and thanks.
DeleteThe couch looks very comfy.
ReplyDeleteIt is.
DeleteI like your new couch. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteHmm I wonder what's going over there across the street. the police must be on to something...
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the couch- looks nice!
There are so many drug dealers across the street.
DeleteThank you.
Life is never dull in your neck of the woods.
ReplyDeleteThat's for sure.
DeleteI agree, no moments that are dull there. You new couch looks most comfy!
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteYay for a new couch! I love the way it looks. It would be hard to live with neighbors being loud with that kind of thing.
ReplyDeleteI heard he might be moving out because his rent just went up too.
DeleteNice new couch! Glad to hear it's comfortable. Blaring porn for everyone to hear and replaying the same portion over and over? What a whack-a-doodle!
ReplyDeleteHe definitely is.
DeleteI love the new couch.
Nice looking couch.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on and stay safe
Thank you.
DeleteOur couch (sofa) is about 30 years old and still going strong. We had two cushion covers replaced and that's it.
ReplyDeleteThat brick wall must be a bit flimsy if bumping into it can break the window! Or maybe the window was loose.
Wow, that's pretty good for a couch.
DeleteOur walls are really thin, it's really just a couple of 2x4's and some sheet rock. I'm not surprised it broke by hitting the wall near it.
That couch looks comfortable. But stay out of trouble with all those cops around!
ReplyDeleteOh, I always stay out of trouble.
DeleteAll in all, you had a quiet week...if a noisy one. LOL.
ReplyDeleteI would have expected you to post the pic where Falcor plays King of the Couch 😂.
Yeah it was a noisy one. I thought about posting that one.
DeleteWho doesn't like hearing a little porn in the morning.
ReplyDeleteThe kids in the courtyard don't need to hear that.
DeleteI think your couch does look comfortable.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Thank you.
Delete$80 doesn't even seem like much for a window but anything is sad. Enjoy the new couch!
