This is a weekly blog post that I'm calling Apartment Hell Life. I've mentioned a few times some of the crazy things that go on in and around my apartment complex in the past 25 years that we've lived here and people keep telling me I should write a book. But instead of a book, I've decided to share the crazy things that have happened in and around my apartment complex in the last 25 years here in a weekly blog post.
The guy right across from me has had hella traffic at his door lately. He doesn't usually let the people into his apartment like drug dealer does so I've been seeing the drug deals going down right out in the open in front of his door.
They stay for a few seconds or a minute and then they leave after getting something from him.
And then drug dealer was at his door for a few minutes too.
Unbelievably, it's been mostly quiet around here this week.
The high this week was 59F/15C
The low this week was 38F/3C
So that's it for this week's Apartment Hell Life! Be sure to come back next week for more.
Those drug deals aren't subtle are they?
ReplyDeleteNot even a little bit.
DeleteYour undercover camera work is stellar, Mary. Lol! Good job!
ReplyDeletelol Thanks.
DeleteYour photos could help the Police. Perhaps you could get paid for them.
ReplyDeleteMy pictures aren't good enough to actually see anything going on.
DeleteHi, Mary!
ReplyDeleteI hope you and my buddy Falcor are well and in good spirits, dear friend! I see that your weekly high temp was way down this week. From now on, I suppose the overnight lows will be the main concern.
Yessum, it looks like the drug dealer's apprentice has a thriving business going on right across from you. I'm getting the impression that the police in your city have conceded there's little or nothing they can do about the drug problem, classify it as a victimless crime and choose to devote their time and resources to other types of crime. If I were you, I would be very careful not to let anyone see you taking pictures of those drug transactions.
Have a safe and happy week, dear friend Mary!
The police are little help unless they see something go down.
DeleteYes, your camera work is stellar, going to make for some interesting blog posts, but don't count on it being of any value to the police because they don't care.
ReplyDeleteYou're right, the police don't care.
DeleteToo bad your photos couldn't be used as evidence...
ReplyDeleteI know.
DeleteWell, theres a thing. Thank goodness you have bars on your own door. ERin
ReplyDeleteOh definitely.
DeleteWow, I'm glad you got some pics. I hear a lot of transactions in my building and it's interesting to hear the stories behind an addict. Addiction kind of goes hand in hand with a lot of things. The way I look at is that we are all addicted to one thing or another. This was confirmed to me by my ER doctor after I came in for acid reflux, lol.
ReplyDeleteEveryone has a story.

ReplyDeleteYikes, they're so confident they don't even attempt to hide it.
ReplyDeleteBecause they know the police won't do anything.
DeleteI'm glad I live rural however I will sooner than later have to give up our house but we'll be moving into a subsidized senior apartment complex so hopefully we won't have to deal with drug dealers. Wow Mary be careful with those photos xo
ReplyDeleteI am always careful. I took these from inside my apartment. They couldn't see me.
DeleteI love these glimpses into the dark world of others.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you found it entertaining.
DeleteWow pretty out in the open.
ReplyDeleteWell, at least some quiet is a good thing!
ReplyDeleteVery good.
DeleteDid you find out if Drug Dealer is actually getting kicked out? 🤔
ReplyDeleteYou had some cool temperatures! 🙂
I don't know for sure. I think the neighbor might be wrong.
DeleteQuiet is good! It's unfortunate these drug deals are always going on. No consideration for the neighbors either. I hope you stay safe, Mary. At least you're having some nicer, cooler weather. Perfect kind of reading weather.
ReplyDeleteThe weather is definitely nicer.
DeleteWow the temps have really dropped for you. I hope you are staying safe and enjoying the cooler weather. Quiet weeks are good!
ReplyDeleteYeah it's nice and cool now.
DeleteI am positive my old neighbor was selling pot out of their house. People would park, walk around back, then leav 5 minutes later.
ReplyDeleteYep, they probably were.
DeleteMostly quiet is SO needed
ReplyDeleteYes, it is.
DeleteThat drug dealer is amazingly blatant. Perhaps he's given the police a well-stuffed brown envelope?
ReplyDeleteI suppose this is the quietest it gets in your neighborhood. Drug dealing still happens but no big issues for the police or ambulances to show up. Stay safe!
