Favorite Song of the Week
I know a lot of people give Nickelback a lot of grief but I actually like them. This song is new and I liked it so I decided to share it with you in case you hadn't heard it. I hope you enjoy it.
I enjoyed this new single by Nickelback, the veteran rock band from Alberta, Canada. "Those Days," a song from their latest album Get Rollin', released just a few weeks ago, is a nostalgic song about growing up in the 1980s. In the video, the band is shown performing the song with frequent cutaways of B roll footage including shots of 1980s movie and celebrity posters, a tape deck, shopping for albums in record stores, big name bands of the era, long lines of fans waiting to attend rock concerts, vintage garage band practice sessions and other reminders of youth experiences during the period. I enjoyed the song and video, because I was fortunate enough to be part of the rock scene in the 80s in my capacity as production manager of an MTV station.
Have a wonderful Saturday. I'll be back to see you tomorrow, dear friend Mary!
Yeah, I was happy to see that it was the least amount of money on their own site. I don't think this is their best CD that, I'm really enjoying just having a new CD from them and playing it over and over.
I feel like a couple people decided to start picking on Nickelback, and then more and more people just joined in because it was the "cool" thing to do. I don't really listen to them anymore, but they have some good songs. This one is nice!
This is an Award-Free blog. It is a lovely gesture, but I am unable to comply with the terms of the awards so I have made this an Award-Free blog. Thank You for understanding.
New to me - and fun. Thank you.
