This is a weekly blog post that I'm calling Apartment Hell Life. I've mentioned a few times some of the crazy things that go on in and around my apartment complex in the past 25 years that we've lived here and people keep telling me I should write a book. But instead of a book, I've decided to share the crazy things that have happened in and around my apartment complex in the last 25 years here in a weekly blog post.
Last Sunday morning I got up and walked Falcor only to see blood all over the sidewalk out front. Crazily it didn't lead back to drug dealer's apartment but rather into the pool courtyard and up the steps. I saw a guy cleaning all the blood off the steps and from in front of his door. And no, I didn't call the police, I'm not getting involved in that mess. I know you can't see it too well but all of those spots on the walkway are blood.
The high this week was 94F/34C
The low this week was 59F/15C
So that's it for this week's Apartment Hell Life! Be sure to come back next week for more.
Cleaning up the evidence no doubt. I don't blame you for taking a hard pass on that one.
ReplyDeleteI don't even want to know what happened.
DeleteHi, Mary!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you have a bloody mystery to ponder, dear friend, one of the many unsolved mysteries that pop up regularly in your neighborhood. Do you have any theories about the trail of blood? Did someone slice a leg trying to climb the fence and use the pool to cool off late at night? Did they cut themselves as they left the pool and dripped blood on the way back to where they came from? I'm curious to know what you're thinking.
All in all, it was another relatively uneventful week for you, and that's nice to know. Have a safe and happy week ahead, dear friend Mary!
I have no idea at all. But there are 6 people living in that apartment so it could have been a fight.
DeleteI am glad the guy was cleaning his steps and his door. Too much to hope he would clean the path as well I suppose.
ReplyDeleteHe stopped at the steps.
DeleteVery wise not to call the cops or get involved with whatever was going on. Goodness knows what caused the blood stains.
ReplyDeleteI don't even want to know.
Deletewow. that is something. hope all is well and they solve the mystery.
ReplyDeleteI doubt I ever will.
DeleteAre you sure they aren't shooting an episode of C.S.I. Vegas around there? Blood from a pool...now what?
ReplyDeletelol They could be.
DeleteWell that's frightening, Mary.
ReplyDeleteYeah it went all along the front of the apartment building too, it was a lot of blood.
DeleteWhatever the cause, 'blood' is never a cheerful sight. Hopeflly, there's explanation not linked to some hostile act.
ReplyDeleteI have no idea what it would be.
DeleteCould be an animal.
ReplyDeleteMaybe.
DeleteYuck, that sure isn't a fun thing to find on your walk.
ReplyDeleteNo it;s not.
DeleteOh wow. Not good. Yeah sometimes it's better not to get involved... that can go bad places. :(
ReplyDeleteThat's what I was thinking too.
DeleteAlmost sounds like the beginning of a horror movie...finding a trail of blood on the sidewalk.
ReplyDeleteYeah it does.
DeleteI do hope it was an injured animal...
ReplyDeleteI'd rather it be a person than an animal.
DeleteHopefully, it was just an accident and someone had to run back to their apt for a bandaid.
ReplyDeleteI hope so.
DeleteCrazy! Stay safe.
ReplyDeleteI will try.
DeleteYikes! I hope it was an accident and no one was too hurt with all that blood everywhere!
ReplyDeleteI hope so too.
DeleteI guess it was a quiet week? Glad you are safe.
ReplyDeleteYeah fairly quiet.
DeleteMy son, already been 90's in southern Oregon.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on, and stay safe.
It's warming up.
DeleteThat's an unsettling find! Maybe someone had a bloody nose? One can only hope...
ReplyDeleteStay safe, Mary!
Hopefullty that's all it was.
DeleteGood thing Falcor did not lick it off....
ReplyDeleteYeah
DeleteUgh No Thank u
ReplyDeleteI feel the same way.
DeleteIt's best not to know. Have a nice and hopefully quiet month of May.
ReplyDeleteI agree.
DeleteOh no! I hope that everyone is okay. Stay safe Mary!
ReplyDeleteI will try.
DeleteYikes. I'd steer clear of that mess too. Don't want it to be your blood out there next!
ReplyDeleteNo I do not.
DeleteYikes! I understand not wanting to get involved. 😯
