This is a weekly blog post that I'm calling Apartment Hell Life. I've mentioned a few times some of the crazy things that have gone on in and around my apartment complex and in my neighborhood in the past 25 years that I've lived here and people keep telling me I should write a book. But instead of a book, I've decided to share the crazy things that have happened in and around my apartment complex in the last 25 years here in a weekly blog post.
On Monday the ambulance showed up for someone in the pool courtyard of my complex. No one was taken away in the ambulance though so I guess that's good.
On Tuesday a lady two doors down from me was taken to the ER in the ambulance. Most of the ambulance was hidden by this palm tree. She was back the next day though.
Last week my neighbors car was broken into. His back window was smashed. Just a couple of months ago his other car had been stolen so he was really mad that his new car was vandalized as well. His isn't the only car that has been vandalized in recent months though. The neighbor right next door to me had his car broken into and they messed the wires under the dash all up. It seems it's not safe to have your car on the street around here anymore.
The high this week was 109F/42C
The low this week was 80F/26C
So that's it for this week's Apartment Hell Life! Be sure to come back next week for more.
Sigh at the vandals. Glad your neighbours stay in hospital was short.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure she is too.
DeleteAmbulance visits are probably heat related. That's awful about the cars, going to make it difficult to get insured if the area gets redlined because of continuing vandalism. Is there no gated parking at your complex?
ReplyDeleteOh no, nothing around here is gated. You have to go to the rich side of Vegas to find gated parking or a gated community and most times they are condos or houses with an HOA. All of our parking for this apartment complex is either on the street or in the back alley.
Delete"It seems it's not safe to have your car on the street around here anymore."
ReplyDeleteJust one tiny little problem to be added to the list...😫
A very long list.
DeleteIt seems it's not safe to live on that street anymore!
ReplyDeleteA lot of Vegas is like this.
DeleteMust admit I am surprise they would keep their cars outside in such a lovely neighbourhood LOL
ReplyDeleteThere's nowhere else to park. It's either the street or in the back alley.
DeleteThat’s awful about the car.
ReplyDeleteYes it is.
DeleteWhen I lived in a very fashionable part of London (Islington), our car was broken into and then later on vandalised and stolen. A shame that your street is becoming unsafe for parked cars.
ReplyDeleteI'm actually surprised it hasn't happened before now with all the homeless people around here.
DeleteCar vandalism is promo to car theft and setting cars on fire.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't doubt that would be next.
DeleteWow, lots of stuff done to cars. Pretty soon we will have cars that cannot be vandalized or stolen or anything. Looking forward to that day:)
ReplyDeleteMe too.
DeleteOur area is prone to car theft maybe all of Toronto
ReplyDeleteA lot of Vegas is like that too, but the tourists just don't know it.
DeleteI would so hate to come out one morning and find my car windows all smashed in like that!
ReplyDeleteSo would i.
DeleteTime for some car alarms maybe.
ReplyDeleteYes that's probably a good idea.
DeleteYikes on the window. Glad no one got hurt.
ReplyDeleteI am too.
DeleteUgh what a pain in the ass, having to worry about your car on top of everything else. Stay safe Mary!
ReplyDeleteI will try.
DeleteSadly cars are easy targets, especially at night.
ReplyDeleteThat's very true.
DeleteI am not surprised that cars have been vandalized with all the drug activity around.
ReplyDeleteNeither am I.
DeleteThat sucks about your neighbor's car! People suck.
ReplyDeleteYes they do.
DeleteWhat a shame about vandals. Some people just suck.
ReplyDeleteI was on vacation for over a week (we went to visit my parents out of state), so I'm behind on everything. I'm slowly catching up, tho.
I appreciate you taking the time to visit.
