This is a weekly blog post that I'm calling Apartment Hell Life. I've mentioned a few times some of the crazy things that have gone on in and around my apartment complex and in my neighborhood in the past 25 years that I've lived here and people keep telling me I should write a book. But instead of a book, I've decided to share the crazy things that have happened in and around my apartment complex in the last 25 years here in a weekly blog post.
On Tuesday the police showed up in my courtyard because their bedroom window was busted out and the screen was torn. I don't know who did it but I didn't see much glass on the outside which leaves me to believe the glass was punched from the outside and fell towards the inside. Maybe someone was trying to break in while they were gone? I'm not sure. The officer stood there and looked like he was taking a report.
So a few weeks ago this guy who lives in my courtyard came up to me while I was walking Falcor and just said, "Wanna F*ck?" I was sure I misheard him so I asked him to repeat what he said and he did. I stopped, looked him up and down, laughed and said no. This man practically ran back to his apartment. I didn't see him for about a week and then when he saw me he would walk back to his apartment. Now he just won't look me in the eye. lol I mean does that line actually work? Good grief.
He's been acting stranger and stranger lately which leads me to believe either drugs or mental illness. He stood here for about 30 minutes just like this on the rock. He's always wearing over the ear headphones when he's out and he is here too which you might not be able to make out.

The high this week was 80F/26C
The low this week was 43F/6C
So that's it for this week's Apartment Hell Life! Be sure to come back next week for more.
Drugs or mental illness both are plausible. Maybe it's both together. At least he seems capable of being embarrassed at the memory of his assholish behavior.
ReplyDeleteDoes that line ever actually work? I really doubt it. Some guys are just too scatterbrained to come up with anything better. Pathetic.
He seems mentally ill with the way he's been acting lately.
DeleteI suspect that your laughter wilted him on the spot. Glad that he can feel embarrassed.
ReplyDeleteBe cautious around that one.
ReplyDeleteOh I am.
DeleteAt least he has the sense to be embarrassed by what he said to you.
ReplyDeleteYeah.
DeleteIf possible, always check the area through window, before going out to avoid dangerous encounters.
ReplyDeleteHe was beyond the reach of my window but I do look outside before going out there.
DeletePeople are strange :)
ReplyDeleteOh that they are.
DeleteThat's quite something that you have seen behavior like this. Break-ins have slowed down in my area, but doubt they have stopped.

Oh! I was wondering who you were since clicking on your name didn't lead me back to a blog. I'm glad you left a link. lol
DeleteI pictured the scene in my mind and chuckled. I mean, I'd likely have vomited a torrent of insults on him, while you metaphorically killed him with a look 😂.
ReplyDeleteI've been told by many that I look intimidating. lol I don't feel intimidating but a look usually works to keep people away.
DeleteGood for you 'can you repeat that?'
ReplyDeletelol
DeleteWhat a nerve, such a blatant come-on. But it looks like you've managed to ward him off!
ReplyDeleteOh I did.
DeleteLooks like he's doing the Pledge of Allegiance on that rock or praying you'd say yes. ROFLMAO! But how in the world did he manage to lease a unit in your building when he's obviously not right in the head? Be careful though, he may be watching you, not taking no for an answer.
ReplyDeleteHe may have had a family member help him. That's happened before. I always have my taser and sometimes my pocket knife.
DeleteYou have some very odd neighbors.
ReplyDeleteI know! lol
DeleteIt is never boring in your neighborhood!
ReplyDeleteThat's the truth.
DeleteMental illness or drugs, both sad.
ReplyDeleteYes it is.
DeleteI hope he's okay, and being embarrassed is better than being an aggressive prick. I hope you had a good weekend and week ahead.
ReplyDeleteHe's been steering clear of me lately.
DeleteWhat a strange and weird guy. Be careful when you see him around. Stay safe and have a good new week.
ReplyDeleteI always have my taser.
DeleteSo crazy by you. Stay safe.
ReplyDeleteI will try.
DeleteAt least he tries to avoid u now
ReplyDeleteYes, at least he's smart enough to do that.
DeleteThat police person looks totally bored. Glad you shut the nutty one down.
ReplyDeleteYeah he does.
DeleteI guess every state has there crazies.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on
Oh I'm sure they do.
DeleteI can't believe he said that to you. I'm glad he's staying away from you, it's most likely safer that way.
ReplyDeleteI could hardly believe it either.
Deleteoh my, what a question! Did he truly expect you to jump at that offer, lol.
ReplyDeleteI think he did. lol No thanks.
DeleteGood lord Mary, you do see some excitment.
ReplyDeleteYeah, all the wrong kinds.
DeleteWhat a weirdo!
ReplyDeleteBe cautious when you are around him.
Hugs and blessings
I always am.
DeleteWhat? You refused that hoooot loverman? LOL Geez, Mary, you are so picky LOL
ReplyDeleteI know, what the hell was I thinking. lol
DeleteI would except him to be mentally ill or on drugs to say such a thing out of the blue. Stay safe.
ReplyDeleteI agree.
DeleteNot the greatest pick up line, but he doesn't seem like he's all the way with it. Probably the best he could come up with. I'm surprised you didn't swoon, lol! :)
ReplyDeleteRight? Lol
