Book Description
My grandmother promised me to a hot, cursed dragon who happens to be her mortal enemy.
Why does she want me to spend the rest of my life with a man she calls ‘lizard breath’? She’s an enchantress and she cast a love spell over Tyson Drake fifty years ago. It failed pretty spectacularly, and he’s been trapped in his human form ever since.
But she's convinced I can change things. That the magic she’s been teaching me about is enough to make the spell come true. Now Tyson’s willing to give Gran’s magic one more try and take a chance on me.
I can’t stop thinking about him, but will becoming Tyson’s mate be enough to make him finally shift into his dragon form, or will my magic be the death of him?
My Review
Tyson is a dragon shifter but ever since the enchantress tried to do a love spell that backfired he and his family haven't been able to shift into their dragon forms. Sophie comes to live with her grandmother and learns of the spell her grandmother messed up all those years ago. Her grandmother tells her to stay away from Tyson when they spot him at a yard sale but Sophie can't stop thinking about him and Tyson is having the same problem. Tyson wants a magical box that Sophie's grandmother bought at the yard sale so the older woman makes a deal with him.
The magic, romance and danger in this book made it such a fun read. Sophie's grandmother went from someone Tyson and his fellow dragon shifters hated to someone that they started to believe might have worked the love spell correctly, it just took a long time for it to work.
Sophie and Tyson just fit together so well. There wasn't a question in my mind whether or not these two belonged together, they just did. But when someone comes out of the shadows to cause problems, I sure didn't see that coming and I love a good twist.
This was such a fun read. I'm looking forward to watching the rest of these grumpy dragons gets their mates too now.
I give this book 4 out of 5 stars.
Unexpected twists are often great aren't they? Except when they are spectacular failures.
