Monsoon season is officially upon us in Las Vegas. Monsoon season is from June to September and anytime during those months we can have clouds, storms, flash floods and rain. This week we had a couple of days of clouds and a little rain. This sunset was so pretty.
This cloud was so big and came by so fast bringing with it a short storm where we got some rain.
The rest of the day we had clouds.
The sky at noon was so dark.
But the clouds gave us another nice sunset.
Friday it looked stormy but we only got a few sprinkles later that day. Some parts of the valley it poured though.
This was right over me but no rain. At least it blocked the sun for a while.
It's nice to have pretty sunsets but even those dark clouds which threaten rain can be so atmospheric.
ReplyDeleteGreat color on those lit-from-below clouds in the first picture.
ReplyDeleteAny rain must come as a relief in this part of the year.
Some impressive clouds.
ReplyDeleteBeing that dark in the daytime is weird isn't it. Of course up here we have so much cloud cover even in the hot summer that it's not unusual. I hope that lowered your temperature about 10°. That first photo is just magnificent.
ReplyDeleteClouds make wonderful photographs and change the atmosphere so quickly.
ReplyDeleteA variety of good finds in the sky.
ReplyDeleteMost marvellous clouds and colour in the first photo.
ReplyDeleteI did not know you have changes in weather! Learn something new every day!! Love those clouds :)
