We did something a little different for dinner this night. My daughter saw pictures on Instagram labeled "Tin Fish Dinner" She wanted to try it. So we have canned liverwurst (She ate this I did not 🤣) canned Vienna Sausages, canned sardines, canned octopus, canned squid, crackers, green olives, pickles, grapes, sliced cheese and I had canned Deviled Ham for my crackers. It was different but I would eat it again but without the squid. 🤣🤣
Have you done the Tin Fish Dinner challenge?

It is always best when there is a little bit of everything on the plate... Not sure, though, why she would combine wurst und vienners with fish LOL
ReplyDeletelmao Because the store we went to didn't have a big selection of stuff in a can, so we made do with what they had.
DeleteI haven't done the Tin Fish Dinner challenge, I think I'd have stuck to cheese on crackers, haha.
ReplyDeletelmao I can understand that.
DeleteI haven't heard of this. Intriguing.
ReplyDeleteIt was interesting.
DeleteThis would be supplies for the disaster that may happen, all canned food. Some of these items I do have and do use, just not at one meal. But It looked to be fun.
ReplyDeleteDifferent can sometimes be fun.
DeleteI’ve never heard of that! And I don’t think I’d eat anything but the cheese, olives, and grapes.
ReplyDeletelmao With my daughter around I have to try and be adventurous.
DeleteNever heard of the tin-fish dinner. I have eaten plenty of tuna, salmon, and an occasional sardine from a can. Also, canned smoked oysters I used to carry on wilderness trips which I would pull on a special night (along with an extra ounce of Scotch).
ReplyDeleteI like most of the tin fish , we would have bought smoked oysters if the store we went to had any of them.
DeleteThis is not for me -- I'm not a big fan of fish.
ReplyDeleteThen this would not be for you. I don't mind most of the fish though. The squid I can do without.
DeleteI'll eat the fruits and pickles for sure!
ReplyDeleteNot a big fish eater?
Deleteyummy
ReplyDeleteMost of it was.
DeleteI might give some of those a try!
ReplyDeleteMost of it was good.
DeleteNever heard of Tin Fish Dinner. Looks like it would be doable if one were roughing it. I'd only eat the pickles and olives. Your daughter is adventurous with you as her tester, LOL.
ReplyDeleteYes she is. LOL
DeleteI haven't even heard of this. But it's kind of funny.
ReplyDeleteIt was a fun thing to try.
DeleteWhat a great idea, though I would skip one or two of those as well.
ReplyDeleteI won't be having the squid again. lol
DeleteVery healthy! Love the olives and pickles :-D
ReplyDeleteI like those too.
DeleteSo, it all had to be canned? Interesting.
ReplyDeleteWell that was different!
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
I have never heard of tin fish dinner. Thank you so much for sharing, Mary!
ReplyDeleteNever done that, Mary. Husband will eat canned sardines and canned salmon in a casserole but mostly we have fresh fish of some kind.
