Favorite Picture of the Week

When my grandson comes over on the weekends, he's been walking Falor for me since my back is hurt. I was standing on the step, and he walked him down the sidewalk for me. He's only 13 and he's already taller than I am, and I'm 5'6".

So many clouds, no rain. All of the pictures of clouds were from the same day.

It rained over the mountains though.

I love those big, puffy clouds.

Saw a line of clouds rolling in as I was out with Falcor. I can't walk far so I just stayed in one place and let Falcor do his business.

Popcorn clouds in another direction.

Then took another picture of the line of clouds getting closer.

Later that day there were more clouds over the mountains.

As the sun was setting it looked nice.

I stood out there slowly walking Falcor back home and thought this picture was neat. Sun was almost gone, the clouds were driven off with the wind and the mountains looked black. You can even faintly see a few stars in the sky in my picture.

  1. Those clouds really look rainy. You must have felt cheated when it was wasted on the mountains.

Hope Falcor feels OK about being walked by a different person. Nice of him to take over some of that for you while you're recovering, though.

    1. I was hoping for some rain from them. As long as someone is walking him he's fine.

  2. Your grandson looked really happy out there walking Falcor. You really have a variety of Sky photos here. And yes I did look for the star in your last photo and I saw it.

  7. I zoomed in on that sign near McD. I thought it was Cat Ranch, which made me curious. I am still somewhat curious about Cal Ranch, assuming that I am seeing it correctly.

    1. Cal Ranch is a ranch store. They carry Ranch supplies like horse feed, Hay, fencing, dog houses, bird baths, some food, clothing, jewelry and work apparel.

I love the dramatic clouds (and popcorn clouds! what a fun name), but the last pic, with a clear sky and a hint of stars, is my favourite.

  18. They do grow tall, don't they. My 13-year-old nephews grew something like five inches between July and December. It was wild to see how fast they shot up. (They went from about my height to taller than me.)

  28. That's nice that your grandson can help with Falcor while you recover. I had to have my daughter drive 2 hours to help with potty breaks when I was sick last month. I wish I had someone closer to help when things like that pop up. Hope your back is better soon!
