This is a weekly blog post that I'm calling Apartment Hell Life. I've mentioned a few times some of the crazy things that have gone on in and around my apartment complex and in my neighborhood in the past 27 years that I've lived here and people keep telling me I should write a book. But instead of a book, I've decided to share the crazy things that have happened in and around my apartment complex in the last 27 years here in a weekly blog post.
Life update:
My daughter was supposed to have her infusion last Friday but the office called last minute and cancelled because the person doing it had an emergency. So they rescheduled it for the 15th. My daughter is also going in for a mammogram and ultrasound at the end of this month, because while she was in the hospital they found a lump in her breast when she had a CT scan. I'm really hoping she won't have to deal with breast cancer on top of everything else.
I'm getting better. Still using the crutch outside but I can now walk around the apartment without it. My back is getting better.
---
We had a 3.8 earthquake on Thursday. At first they thought it was a 4.1 but then changed it. Just jolted my apartment building really hard for a second. That's enough to wake you up in the morning. 🤣 I've only felt about 5 earthquakes here in Las Vegas in the last 35 years.
----
It was a quiet week.
The high this week was 105F/40C
The low this week was 77F/25C
So that's it for this week's Apartment Hell Life! Be sure to come back next week for more.

I think you and your daughter have had enough jolts in real life that you don't need an earthquake! Sorry to hear her infusion got postponed.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad it was a small earthquake.
DeleteContinued prayers for your daughter. Yes, you've had enough jolts lately.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteI’m glad to hear your back is improving and you’re able to walk around without the crutch indoors.
ReplyDeleteI’ll be keeping your daughter in my thoughts as she goes through the infusion and tests this month.
And wow, that earthquake must have been a shock!
Even a quick jolt like that is enough to rattle the nerves.
I'm glad the earthquake was a small one.
DeleteBacks are slow to recover, even more so as we age. I am wondering if mine ever will recover from its latest jolt which is nothing compared to your current injury.
ReplyDeleteI hope your back does get better. Mine is slowly getting better.
DeleteI’m glad to hear that you are feeling better, but dang your poor daughter has been dealing with way too much. It’s funny about quakes here ~ sometimes I really feel the little ones, but other times I don’t notice them at all!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad it was a little one. Hopefully my daughter will get good news soon.
DeleteI hope you continue to heal. Hugs to you and your daughter.
ReplyDeleteEarthquake... sigh.
Thank you.
DeleteCrutches are the worse!I’ve been on them three times in my life.Sorry to hear about your daughter and thanks so much for coming back to my blog ,it’s very motivational for me to keep writing.
ReplyDeleteYou're very welcome.
DeleteGlad to hear your walk and back are improving. Hoping your daughter gets better news soon. This has really been a hellish-sounding time.
ReplyDeleteIt really has. I hope she gets some good news soon.
DeleteQuiet weeks are good weeks, especially when most weeks aren't that quiet. I hope your upcoming week is a good week Mary.
ReplyDeleteThings could have been happening, I just didn't see it.
DeleteLet's hope the quiet week is followed by quiet, good times for you and your daughter.
ReplyDeleteI hope so.
DeleteSorry the infusion was cancelled. I do hope that all is well with the mammo. Glad to read you are doing better. I like that it was a quiet week. Have a good Sunday.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteSending good thoughts to your daughter. I'm glad you are feeling some better though.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteHope your daughter will be okay and glad you are feeling better Mary. Sending love and hugs xx
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteI hope your daughter gets a benign mammogram. So sad that she has to wait until the end of the month to find out-the waiting is hard. I know that second hand; breast cancer runs in my late mother in law's family. I'm glad you are feeling better, too, Good luck to you both. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteThank you. I'm hoping for positive news in the coming month.
DeleteBy the Goddess! That poor girl does not need any more bad news. Neither do you for that matter.
ReplyDeleteNo, she really doesn't.
DeleteI'm glad you're mending. Sending good thoughts to your daughter. Sorry that her infusion got rescheduled.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteI hope your daughter doesn't have to deal with cancer too. It must be very worrisome. And even though it woke you up, good thing it wasn't a much bigger earthquake. There's been a couple in my area over the years so I know even a small earthquake can shake you up. Have a great week ahead.
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping for good news soon.
DeleteI do hope your daughter's test will be ok, it's a real worry, but thinking and a prayer coming your way, Mary. I'm glad you are improving.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
Deletepraying for your daughter for good results!!
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteYou have been through the wringer the past few months. I'm hoping for good news for your daughter.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteWe don't get a lot of earthquakes here in SLC either, though we did have one a few months ago. Shook my whole house. And I hope and pray your daughter doesn't have cancer. Fingers crossed for good results.
ReplyDeleteEarthquakes are scary. I'm hoping for good news too.
DeleteSending good vibes for your daughter. Glad you are on the mend.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteOy, that is not so bad, as that one was over in Asia yesterday. The shit just never ends for you and your daughter, you need a witch to cleanse you from the curse or something.
ReplyDeletelmao Yes, we do.
DeleteI hope your daughter is okay! I've been through many earthquakes while living in Southern California. The Northridge Earthquake back in 1994 was the scariest. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI hope it's just a scare and there's nothing there or it's just an inflamed gland due to stress/hormones. That happened to me once. :'(
