Have you seen those recipes for mug cakes that bake in the microwave? I tried a few different recipes and so many of them were so dry after I took them out. I just didn't like most of them. I see now that there are mixes that you can buy in the store that you just have to add water or something, mix and microwave. But if you already have all the ingredients at home and want a piece of cake, here's the best recipe I've found for chocolate mug cake.
I probably should have looked on The Food Network website for a recipe the first time because they have some really good recipes. I made this for Ken the other day and he loved it.
Have you tried making a mug cake before?
Oh yum! Looks so good!
ReplyDeleteWhen you just want a piece of cake, this only takes a couple of minutes to make and it's good.
DeleteNever even knew there was such a thing.
ReplyDeleteIt's pretty good too.
DeleteI'm always in for a chocolate recipe and the Food Network sure has some good ones. Glad Ken enjoyed it! Hugs...RO

DeleteI tried a few mug cakes and it's hard to find a good recipe indeed. I think I ended up with one that was pretty good for a cinnamon mug cake. Thanks for sharing this recipe.
ReplyDeleteYou're very welcome.
DeleteI hope you like it.
ReplyDeleteThanks I'm taking this :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you like it.
DeleteI make cake all the time. Well, really just more than I should. My husband and daughter have to eat gluten free so I haven't tried to do something like this. I usually make large amounts and freeze some for later. I would probably do this if we didn't have food allergies.
ReplyDeleteUnderstandable.
DeleteYum. Chocolate and a mug would go good together I'd think.
ReplyDeleteIt was really good.
DeleteI do these all the time for a midnight snack! Through trial and error, I never microwave them for the recommended amount of time. Always less! Then they are warm, gooey and also a little fluffy. Mmm.
ReplyDeleteDo You Dog-ear?
OH! The peanut butter-chocolate are my favorite!
DeleteSuch a good treat. And peanut butter chocolate sounds good.
DeleteI'm not big on cakes, but I'll have to try this recipe! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThanks.

DeleteLooks yummy! I tried making a cake in a mug years ago and it didn't turn out very well, but this one looks better. I love Food Network's recipes.

It's really good.
DeleteI've done a few of them. Some eh. Some good. The ones with angel food cake mix added in seem to work best for me.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds good.
