Ipsy is a monthly subscription box that sends you 5 sample size makeup or beauty products. You can customize what they send you by filling out the personal surveys. I've been more into makeup products lately and decided to try another subscription box. I love the bright pink package they send it in. There's no mistaking who that's from when you see it in your mailbox. These bags are $10 each.
I have two extra products the eyeliner and the HD Finishing Powder, I took advantage of the add-ons you can add to your bag each month. These add-on were $3 a piece but worth it.
What was in my bag?
The two add on items I got were...
Bella Pierre HD Finishing Powder
Eyeko Black Magic liquid eyeliner.
The other items in my bag were...
MAC Pre+Prime gel primer
R+CO Waterfall Moisture + Shine Lotion for hair
SLMissGlam SS57 Blending Brush
Pixi By Petra H2O Skindrink face gel
Naked Cosmetics Loose Pigment in Naturally Nude
A glittery makeup bag
I love trying new primers because they really do help the makeup especially foundation go on more evenly. Loving the blending brush because I didn't have one like that. The shine lotion and the face gel smell so good! The eyeshadow is a cute pinkish color and I do love a nice pink color.
I just started using finishing powder about a year ago after watching a youtube review and tutorial of it. You're supposed to use a beauty blender and dab it on right after you use concealer under your eyes. It's supposed to keep the concealer from creasing and set the concealer. It also gives you a bit of brightness under your eyes. I've been using it ever since.
The only bad thing about this bag was the glittery makeup bag. Holy glitter bombs, Batman! I didn't realize that this glittery makeup bag was drooling glitter all over every damn thing it touched or even came within 100 feet of until I had already staged it on the table for a picture, and put it in my cabinet in the bathroom. Then I started seeing glitter all over the table, my mousepad, my shirt, my arms, pants and my camera. I ended up getting it out of the cabinet and throwing it away because it was actively dropping glitter babies all over everything. You know what they say about glitter? Glitter is the Herpes of the craft world. Because once you get it, you can never get rid of it. They're right. I've cleaned, vacuumed and dusted and I'm still finding glitter in crazy places like my stove. How? Just how?
Sigh on the glitter front. Like Herpes it isn't a welcome visitor.
ReplyDeleteI know. It was sad because it was a cute bag.
DeleteYIKES!(lol) I totally agree with the glitter because I have some glitter Washi Tape. Good thing you got rid of it, but kudos on the other things. Lots of nice goodies. I've been thinking about getting this, and they say it's easy to cancel the subscription if you change your mind.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure it is. I've never had a problem cancelling any of the boxes that I've tried.
DeleteThat SLMissGlamn brush is so pretty! I quit using glitter after I encountered that same problem..... it just gets everywhere!
ReplyDeleteIt really does. I'm still finding glitter. I don't know what they were thinking.
DeleteOh yea, we still have glitter from Christmas past!
DeleteNice haul!
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteI used to get so annoyed when my kids brought home school crafts with glitter. That stuff is the gift that keeps giving!
ReplyDeleteYes, I used to do glitter crafts with my daughter when she was little too. That stuff got everywhere.
