This is a new weekly blog post that I'm calling Apartment Hell Life. I've mentioned a few times some of the crazy things that go on in and around my apartment complex in the past 22 years that we've lived here and people keep telling me I should write a book. But instead of a book, I've decided to share the crazy things that have happened in and around my apartment complex in the last 22 years here in a weekly blog post.
On Monday my daughter spotted the police outside. My neighbor who lives right next door said she saw the police go over to the old maintenance shop and pull this woman out who had broken into the locked shop. They had her out by their car for a while but they didn't arrest her. I hope they at the very least they gave her a ticket and summons to appear in court.
It's not even the first time she and her boyfriend have been caught breaking into that shop. Last year I blogged about what they had done to the old maintenance shop in this post you might want to check out so you can see what they had done to the shop the last time they were in there. All the holes and damage they caused are all fixed now and on Tuesday morning the maintenance man who works here was here screwing the door shut, yet again. I'm sure it won't take long for her or someone else to break that door open and make their way in again though. It's an ongoing problem. I think the owner should put a metal door on there and reinforce the door jam so they can put better locks on it. But hey, I just live here. Move along, now. I know nothing. I just can't believe she wasn't arrested! She was caught red handed inside the shop. I don't know, maybe they couldn't prove she is the one who broke in and opened the door but I don't think it should have mattered. I'm a little irritated.

On Friday I'm out walking Falcor and I see this lady across the street trying to parallel park her white truck. She's back and forth, back and forth, trying to get this truck parked and she can't do it.
She sees me watching her and she rolls down the window and I think she's gonna yell at me or something. No, she asks me if I know how to parallel park. lol I tell her yes and she asks me if I will park her truck for her because she cannot do it. At first I'm like, uhm, hell. Then I say yeah if you'll hold on to my dog. So I get in her truck while she's holding on to Falcor's leash and parallel park her truck for her. It was a big enough spot so it's not like it was hard to do. She says thanks, hands me back the leash and goes into the apartment building only to come back out not 3 minutes later. She yelled across to me that "The mother*ucker* wasn't even home! She got in her truck and sped off. LOL
Well, that was a first.
So that's it for this week's Apartment Hell Life! Be sure to come back next week for more.
Smiling at your second story - and would be more than a little irritated at the first. Surely it is time that the problem was solved. Permanently.
ReplyDeleteI think if a manager had been on property to press charges maybe they would have taken her to jail.
DeleteWow that's terrible someone keeps breaking into that place. But oh no, lol about the parallel parking. I successfully parallel parked on my own once, perfect on my first try, and I've never parallel parked since, so I have a perfect streak lol.
ReplyDeletelol Congrats on the perfect streak.

ReplyDeleteI can see why you would be irritated, for goodness' sake. Maybe jails are so full they couldn't find a vacant spot for her LOL. But seriously, she's even got a story with that shop, so...WHY?
ReplyDeleteThe other woman's story was so funny. There's never a dull moment around there, is there?
I think if a manager had been on property to press charges maybe they would have taken her to jail.
DeleteIt never seems dull around here.
What a carry on with that first woman. It's the same ones causing trouble all the time and nothing gets done. It must drive you mad.
ReplyDeleteIt is rather irritating.
DeleteSome really crazy people out there, it's scary... and annoying, honestly. 😏🤷♂️
ReplyDeleteIt really is.
DeleteCrazy! I enjoyed reading your post as always :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, I'm glad to hear it.
DeleteThat's crazy, especially after seeing the damage done the last time. She should have been hauled off to jail! The lady who couldn't park is just funny :D
ReplyDeleteShe should be in jail, I'm surprised she's not. That lady who couldn't park was funny.
DeleteThat was a lot of trouble to park for just three minutes.
ReplyDeleteI'm stunned they didn't arrest the woman since it was her second offense.
I was surprised she didn't text him first to make sure he was home.
DeleteI was surprised she wasn't arrested too.
So much for helping her. At least a thanks was due.
ReplyDeleteYeah, she did say thanks.
Deletethat was so nice of you to help her. never a dull moment in your apartment life. )
ReplyDeletesherry @ fundinmental
It was kinda funny. I've never been asked to do that before.
DeleteWell, I've never been asked to parallel park someone's car. Probably not worth asking me as my parallel parking isn't too brilliant either.
ReplyDeletelol First for me as well.
DeleteWow, you'd think they'd learn the lesson the first time. Crazy!!! things in my building have been peaceful, we have an overnight cop who stays here on the weekends. He doesn't have a very intimidating look lol, but seems appropriate which matters in my book.
ReplyDeleteAt least he's there. Glad things have been quiet.
DeleteNo telling where the car would have ended up had she asked me to do the parallel park that truck!(lol) Parallel parking and I are not friend. Good thing you were there to help. Hugs, RO
ReplyDeletelol It actually surprises me that so many people cannot parallel park. That was one of the first things I learned.
DeleteI swear some people just never learn lol
ReplyDeleteNo, they don't.
DeleteYou parallel parking queen! That story is awesome. :D
ReplyDeleteThank you. lol
DeleteI'd been surprised if the police did not show up every week :)
ReplyDeleteI see them driving by almost every day.
DeleteWell, that last part made me laugh! I’m impressed you could park it so easily, considering that you don’t currently drive? I guess it’s like riding a bike! Lol!
ReplyDeleteI also am wondering about that woman and her socks with those kind of flip flops!?
Interesting week for you!
I don't have a car but it was like riding a bike. LOL I hadn't even looked at her feet.
DeleteHoly crap that was...I just had to laugh.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you got a laugh out of it.
DeleteI couldn't imagine letting someone you don't know park for you. You live by some weird people, Mary...lol.
ReplyDeleteI know! lol I don't think I've ever heard of that happening either.
DeleteWe giggled at that 2nd story too but at least she had a parking spot. I think the maintenance man needs to lock her in the shop and let her break out.
ReplyDeleteShe would break out...through the wall int the next door apartment like she did last time. LOL
DeleteI agree with you, a metal door would deter her from breaking in. The second story had me laughing because there are lots of people over here that can't parallel park either. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's mind boggling to me that people drive and can't parallel park.
DeleteThat 2nd story....had me burst out laughing LOL People these days are silly. Your life isn't boring at least.
ReplyDeleteNope, not boring.
DeleteI don't blame you for being irritated! And this cracked me up "But hey, I just live here. Move along, now." Right? Seriously though, catching her in there like that- it does make you wonder why they arrest sometimes and why sometimes people get off.
ReplyDeleteAnd oh my gosh that second one is FUNNY.
I'm glad I could make you laugh with my story.
DeleteYour second story did make me smile, there are a lot of folks who cannot parallel park :)
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Thank you. I'm beginning to see that.
DeleteI'm wondering why they didn't arrest the woman either. Especially since she'd been picked up before.
ReplyDeleteThat was very nice of you to help the woman parallel park. I wouldn't have expected that either. LOL
I hope you have a great week, Mary.
It was very unexpected.
DeleteI don't know why they didn't arrest her either.
Where I do in home care at. Sometime the homeless will sleep in the laundry rooms.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on and stay safe
Yeah, I've seen that happen too.
DeleteI would have been surprised to be ask to park a car.
ReplyDeleteIt was definitely surprising.
DeleteIt was nice of you to parallel park her truck. Sad she learned nothing form it.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteWith your neighborhood I'd be scared she was trying to frame me
ReplyDeleteThat never even occurred to me. lol
DeleteNever a dull moment for you!
ReplyDeleteNope, not around here.
DeleteI wonder why they didn't arrest that woman. I'd be frustrated, too. I guess you can just go around doing whatever the hell you want there and no one cares?
ReplyDeleteLol, on the second story and nice of you to help out! :)
I guess so. I wonder why they didn't arrest her too.
DeleteThat's nice you helped that women with parallel parking, too bad the person she was looking for wasn't home.
ReplyDeleteIt was a funny situation.
