Apartment Life #351
This is a weekly blog post that I'm calling Apartment Hell Life. I've mentioned a few times some of the crazy things that go on in and around my apartment complex in the past 25 years that we've lived here and people keep telling me I should write a book. But instead of a book, I've decided to share the crazy things that have happened in and around my apartment complex in the last 25 years here in a weekly blog post.
The police were on my street at the end of my apartment complex. There had been three police cars out there but one left before I got a picture of it. It looked like they were just there talking. I have been seeing more of a police presence around here ever since the shooting right before New Year's Day.

On Tuesday morning my daughter's ex boyfriend who lives on the same block as we do, was attacked by the same dog I told you about last week. The same dog who attacked my next door neighbor's dog and then ran off, ran into the ex boyfriend's apartment and attacked him. For no reason. The dog is vicious. The ex had to go to the ER because his hand got mauled and he needed a bunch of stitches. He also has nerve damage to his thumb and needs to see a hand specialist for that.
The ex is mad because Animal Control came out and sat on the street waiting to see if they could spot the dog because no one knows where this dog lives. So they couldn't do anything until someone figures out where the dog lives. It must be somewhere on this street so we are all keeping an eye out for it to find out where it lives so the people who have been attacked can press charges against the owner for letting the dog run free and Animal Control can do whatever it is they will do. The dog needs to be taken away at the very least and in my opinion put down. I hate to say that but unprovoked attacks are not something I'm ok with.
I've been carrying my knife along with my tazer on walks because the ex said that he was punching the dog to get it to stop biting him and it was completely unfazed by the punches and kept biting. This guy is big and he said he was really trying to get the dog off him. If a big, strong man can't get a dog off then I have no chance at all. So I'm carrying my knife just in case the tazer doesn't make a dog stop attacking. You just never know. Now I have to worry about this.

On Friday while I was walking Falcor I saw one of the druggies sitting near the bushes doing drugs. I ignored him as I always do but this other guy that was walking by went over to him and started cussing him out, telling him not to be doing that around here that he had nephews and there were other small kids around here that didn't need to be seeing that. The guy got up and left.
Then the man who made the druggie leave said he was sorry I had to see that. He said, despite what he looked like, he's not down for that sort of thing and if I see him f*cking someone up around here, it will be because they are out in the open doing drugs where little kids can see them. I thanked him for running the guy off and went home. I see him most mornings now and we always say hi to each other. It was nice to meet another normal person in this neighborhood.
The high this week was 59F/15C
The low this week was 32F/0C
So that's it for this week's Apartment Hell Life! Be sure to come back next week for more.
