Review: Target Baby Box

So imagine my surprise when a friend on FB posted that Target had a baby subscription box and this month's box was just $5. I looked at the products and figured I'd use most of them and what I didn't use I could give to my daughter for my grandson. But I ended up keeping all the samples because my daughter bought a box for herself and I'll actually use all the products in this box. Ha! Hey this stuff smells nice. I may or may not already have a bottle of baby lotion in my cabinet. Hey, it smells good.

So what was in the box you may be asking?

CeraVe® Baby Healing Ointment
Raw Sugar Vanilla Bean + Sugar Natural Body Wash
Baby Dove Rich Moisture Tip to Toe Wash
Dapple Baby Laundry Detergent Strips
Oilogic Slumber and Sleep Essential Oil
10 count- Water Baby Wipes
Aveeno Baby Continuous Protection Sensitive Skin Lotion Zinc Oxide Sunscreen SPF 50
UpSpring 100% Organic Coconut Oil Skin Lotion

And the best thing is the box was just $5 and free shipping.

I've now tried a little of everything in this box and my favorite thing is the Raw Sugar Vanilla Bean body wash. it smells just like fresh vanilla beans. My least favorite thing was the coconut oil. It's the first time I'd ever tried any type of coconut oil products and I found this to be extremely oily. Go figure, right? It has oil right in the title of course it's going to be oily but I don't want my skin feeling oily and I wouldn't have put this on my baby because it's so oily. I never even used baby oil on her skin.

So I think this box was well worth the money I paid for it.

  1. I'm not a huge fan of coconut oil either, but there are people who are obsessed with it!

    1. Oh I know. I saw online how it will get rid of cavities, stop pimples and maybe even get rid of cancer. LOL

  2. Yeah, that oily coconut stuff people rave over, pffft. Never saw the hype in it.

  3. I use cold press organic coconut oil for my skin, remove makeup, cuts and for frosting. But mine is food grade and comes in glass, not a little plastic pouch. But I love it for removing mascara. It also helps my eyelashes grow by not having them be pulled out, like they sometimes did with cosmetic-style cleaners. Having said all that, quality coconut oil still might not be for you. I know some go butt-fudge nuts over it. Oh ... I also use it to shave my legs. Heaven on my legs but hell on the razers, so I just use the freebie ones I got back during my couponing days. But even still, it's understandable if coconut oil isn't your bag. Just sharing my side :-)

    2. Sometimes I use it for leave-in conditioner BUT, only a wee bit and on the ends of my air. Though I have used it on my whole head but not on a day that I go out. Mostly now, I stick to my ends. And that's whole lotta' talkin' about coconut oil.

What's the brand and is yours food-grade? Just curious.

    3. It says it's UpSpring 100% Organic Coconut Oil Skin Lotion. It doesn't say anything about being food grade but it's a small sample so that info might not be on the sample size.

  4. Curiosity strikes: does the baby box evolve as the months go on? Can you get, like, a 24 month subscription that evolves for the needs of a baby at that age?

    1. I don't think so. It isn't a subscription box that you can sign up to get automatically. They go on sale once a month and it's first come first serve. I think they are just geared towards baby products not how old the kid is.

    1. Thanks! I think so too. I like some of the baby products for myself. Baby lotion is great for people with sensitive skin.

  8. Fantastic deal. We might just use a few baby products amongst our toiletries and have no baby around here. :)

I was most curious about the bodywash and glad to know it worked well.
