Apartment Life #283

This is a weekly blog post that I'm calling Apartment Hell  Life. I've mentioned a few times some of the crazy things that have gone on in and around my apartment complex and in my neighborhood in the past 25 years that I've lived here and people keep telling me I should write a book. But instead of a book, I've decided to share the crazy things that have happened in and around my apartment complex in the last 25 years here in a weekly blog post.

This week I noticed that Antwon, Mike and some of the other crackheads in the neighborhood had a camper that they parked across the street. I took these pictures from my bedroom window so you can see it's across the street and around the corner a little bit.

Mike and Antwon setting up a portable generator for the camper. Now the reason I started taking pictures is because I figured either they were going to sell drugs from the camper or the camper was stolen. In which case they would move the camper in a few days so the police didn't come and ask any questions about why it's parked there.

After they set up the portable generator, I saw that Antwon, Mike and a couple of other crackheads were staying there and cars were pulling up and they would do drug deals right there on the street.

The old guy in the motorized wheelchair bought something from Antwon in the white shirt. The guy on the bicycle bought something as well. I watched both of them come back several times a day for a few days.

The lady in pink is a homeless druggie and she would go over to the camper around 5 times a day, stay for a few seconds and leave. I watched her and Antwon do a drug deal right on the sidewalk in front of the camper a few times.

Just as I thought he would, they moved the camper on the 6th day it had been parked there to right around the corner and a little ways down the street. They are still selling drugs from the camper. So many cars pull up to the camper and Antwon will come out give them something and they will leave. I'm just waiting to see if the police stop by the camper at all before they move it again.

Then 5 days later they moved the camper again but I don't know where to.

The high this week was 99F/37C
The low this week was 69F/20C

So that's it for this week's Apartment Hell  Life! Be sure to come back next week for more.

  1. Drug business is obviously very good in your neighbourhood. Sigh.

  2. The dealers must be doing very well if they can afford to buy a camper van. Unless it's stolen of course.

  3. So, calling the police wouldn't have done any good?

    1. No. If they even showed up. Unless the police witness them doing something illegal, they wouldn't do anything.

  4. Wow! That's some made for TV Breaking Bad ingenuity. Instead of Walt and Jesse in a rolling lab, it's Mike and Antwon in a rolling dispensary.

  5. Damn, you still have lots of "fun" going on outside your window. Nice of the police to just let them drug deal out in the open like that. Don't they at least drive by at some point?

  6. Business is booming! I did not think the guy in the wheelchair would be buying, but maybe they’re selling opioids and he has a lot of pain.

  7. Hopefully they are gone. Sounds like a quiet week besides the mobile drug unit. I hope all is calm for you.

    1. I have no idea where the camper is now.

  8. I see the camper van has no licence plate, which also suggests it's stolen.

  10. I wonder if they are manufacturing in the camper too. It would sadly be convenient.

  11. That is so crazy. I'm glad they've moved the camper away from your street for right now. Hopefully they don't come back.

  13. Good one Brian. Yes, it is a new twist on a tailgate party. I wonder if things would be different if drugs were legalized?

  14. Well at least the camper is gone now.

  15. That's pretty cocky! They must not expect to get busted before they make a mint out of their portable drug house.

  16. Someone ought to call in a tip to the cops and see if they actually show up. A camper van is hard to hide from sight especially if it stays in the general area. Stay safe!

  17. I hope you're really careful taking pictures of them, I don't think it would be safe if they saw you.

    1. Oh I was careful. I had my window open just a bit and they couldn't see me.

  18. Mike and Antwon seem fairly brazen. I guess it is not their first time. I hope you are well.

  19. Who needs a television when you have all that drama unfolding on your street?

  20. I guess getting evicted didn't eject him from the neighborhood after all. Where did he get the camper and where are the police? At least they're gone now.
