Apartment Life #216
This is a new weekly blog post that I'm calling Apartment Hell Life. I've mentioned a few times some of the crazy things that go on in and around my apartment complex in the past 21 years that we've lived here and people keep telling me I should write a book. But instead of a book, I've decided to share the crazy things that have happened in and around my apartment complex in the last 21 years here in a weekly blog post.
This week it was quiet but my hot water heater sprung a leak and had to be replaced.
Thankfully the maintenance guys came out about an hour after I sent in my maintenance request. The wall in the back separates my kitchen from my bedroom. So when the hot water tank started leaking, a part of the carpet on the other side of the wall in my bedroom got wet. But I was able to get that dry pretty quickly. The maintenance people lifted my entire counter top up in order to replace the hot water heater.
But at least they came out and fixed it quickly because that could have lead to a real mess in the bedroom. In the last 3 months I've had my AC replaced, the bathroom sink unclogged and now the hot water heater break down. The maintenance guy said I need a new apartment. lol Hey, at least it was quiet in my neighborhood this week.
So that's it for this week's Apartment Hell Life! Be sure to come back next week for more.

You needing a new apartment was funny indeed...if they only knew. Well, at least this thing was fixed quickly and didn't cause permanent damage!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad they were able to fix it quickly.

ReplyDeleteI am too.

ReplyDeleteIt was.
DeleteThankfully they got there fast.
ReplyDeleteYou do indeed need a new apartment.
I'm glad they were able to fix it quickly.
DeleteGlad they came out fast and fixed it for you.
ReplyDeleteI am too.
DeleteAt least a fast response was good and hot water is good too!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad they were able to fix it quickly.
DeleteIf they came and fixed things, then it's not all bad there.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad they were able to fix it quickly.
DeleteYou know, it's nice when you can call someone who will come and fix stuff... from recent experience.

That's very true.
DeleteGlad you were able to get it fixed so quickly! Let's hope nothing else breaks this week. :)
ReplyDeleteI sure hope everything stays together for a while.
DeleteSo glad that you got it fixed so quickly. Have a good week.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad they were able to fix it quickly.
DeleteI don't know why hot water heaters are so often put in really inaccessible places that make them a bugger to maintain or replace. I hope everything's now shipshape again.
ReplyDeleteI don't know why either. They had a heck of a time getting the old one out and a new one in there.
DeleteThank goodness they were able to respond so quickly!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad they were able to fix it quickly.
DeleteGlad it wasn't too bad this week. Can't wait to hear more of your apartment life stories, I can only imagine!
ReplyDeleteThanks. Oh I've had some real winners if you go back and read them.
DeleteGlad it was relatively quiet this week at least as far as outdoor stuff goes! Looks like your kitchen situation has been busy though- glad they were able to get it done quickly!
ReplyDeleteYeah they were able to come get it done pretty fast when I told them it was leaking into the bedroom.
DeleteBy the kitchen looks the apartment was built in early 70s.
ReplyDeleteActually the 60's.
DeleteGreat they fixed it!
ReplyDeleteI'm very happy it's working again.
DeleteHe sure does have a sense of humour :)
ReplyDeleteYeah and he's a nice guy.
DeleteThat seems like a lot of work to replace a hot water heater.
ReplyDeleteIt took them about 4 hours.
DeleteIf they can come out quickly to repair things, I think I'd prefer replacement of a water heater to police troubles in the neighborhood outside!
ReplyDeleteOh definitely.
Deleteglad you got that fixed!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad they were able to fix it quickly.
DeleteI'm glad it was fixed quickly
ReplyDeleteI'm glad they were able to fix it quickly.
DeleteGlad to hear they got it fixed quickly, but bummer about it breaking in the first place. It's a hassle, right?
ReplyDeletesuch a hassle.
DeleteHurray for speedy maintenance! Hopefully you don't have any more apartment issues. You've had enough to deal with, it seems!
ReplyDeleteWe've had the Ac replaced, the bathroom sink clogged and now a new hot water heater. Hopefully that's it for a while.
DeleteI'm glad they came and replaced things quickly! No hot water would not have been fun and it's the last thing you need at the moment.
ReplyDeleteOh I'm glad they came quickly too.
DeleteI'm glad you got it repaired right away at least.

I am too. The new maintenance guy is great.
DeleteThank goodness they came out right away to get everything fixed. That could have been a huge nightmare with everything that's going on. Hugs, RO
ReplyDeleteI know. I'm happy it got fixed.
DeleteThat's nice they fixed it quickly at least. That is a lot that got broken and needed to be fixed those past few months in your apartment. That's funny the maintenance guy said you needed a new apartment.
ReplyDeleteWe've lived here for 21 years so things break often it seems. A new apartment would be nice. lol
DeleteUgh kitchen repairs are a pain in the rear. We're having issues with the bathroom sink and some kind of black gunge inside the plug hole. It's disgusting and we need to deal with it.
ReplyDeleteOh no, that is a pain in the rear.
