Apartment Life #231
This is a new weekly blog post that I'm calling Apartment Hell Life. I've mentioned a few times some of the crazy things that go on in and around my apartment complex in the past 22 years that we've lived here and people keep telling me I should write a book. But instead of a book, I've decided to share the crazy things that have happened in and around my apartment complex in the last 22 years here in a weekly blog post.
On Thursday night my daughter and I heard the police helicopter over our apartment complex and as we were headed outside to see what was going on, we heard sirens pulling up on our street. As we got outside, we saw 6 police cars pulling up on our street. The video shows the police walking around across the street looking for someone.
There were a lot of police cars on my street that night. Some of the police got out and were running around across the street but I didn't see them arrest anyone. I police helicopter left but the police stayed for about an hour before they left.
The police cars were even at the end of my street and when I walked down that way with the dog they seemed to be looking around the apartment complex across the street for someone. I don't know if they ever found the person they were looking for.
So that's it for this week's Apartment Hell Life! Be sure to come back next week for more.

That would freak me out.
ReplyDeleteI am glad that the 'looking' seemed to be all the drama for the night though.
You and me both.
DeleteAnd of course, the police car... 🤷♂️
ReplyDeleteOf course.
DeleteWow! That's a lot of police. I wonder who they were looking for? Thank goodness you guys are all safe though. Hugs, RO
ReplyDeleteNo idea, but it was sure a big response.
DeleteAn anti-climatic evening, which was a good thing!
ReplyDeleteOh for sure.
DeleteWow! Helicopters and everything! My son likes to call them 'choppers' like the Austrians. So funny!Hope they got them. We live close by a small private airport, so we get a lot of noise polution.
ReplyDeleteOh heck, living by an airport would be loud.
DeleteThat's scary, you were brave to take Falcor out for a walk with all of that going on.
ReplyDeleteAs long as you stay out of their way they leave you alone for the most part.
DeleteI'm waiting for a week where you don't have a police update 😂. For real...how do you manage to feel safe there? I hope they'll let you have a peaceful Christmas at least.
ReplyDeleteI have posted a week or two like that. It doesn't happen often though.
DeleteLately we've had tons of helicopters around our area. Sadly not to long ago we had a murder very close to us so that was most likely why.
ReplyDeleteOh no, that's sad. Scary too.
DeleteMore exciting times! Hope this week is much more quiet.
ReplyDeleteI hope so too.
DeleteThe first time I saw a police helicopter it freaked me out....its really scary. Stay safe darling.
ReplyDeleteIt did? I guess I'm just so used to them being around all the time.
DeleteWhat a scary situation but glad nothing happened. Stay safe and have a wonderful week.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteCrazy as always
ReplyDeleteYep, always is.
DeleteIt would be nice if they let you know what was going on at least!
ReplyDeleteI know! Post it on Nextdoor or something.
DeleteYikes- a copter plus all the cars. Never a dull moment in your neck of the woods, huh?
ReplyDeleteBe safe. And wishing you well for the holidays.
Thank you. Yeah, even the helicopter was up this time.
DeleteI've had helicopters circling before. It's a little disconcerting, not knowing if your in danger over who they're chasing. Glad it all went away!
ReplyDeleteYeah it is. Never know what they are looking for.
DeleteEven a helicopter this time! Stay safe out there.
ReplyDeleteI will try.
DeleteOur police or sheriff department doesn't have helicopter.
ReplyDeleteReally? Wow, must be a small community.
DeleteI once had 'my' kids out on the playground when a helicopter started circling around and around. A police care drove up and the officer told me to, "Please take the children indoors, we will contact you when it's safe for you to come back out."
ReplyDeleteI still have no idea what happened.
That's a little scary.
DeleteMany stressful situations...
ReplyDeleteAlways.
DeleteI think 2021 might be a good year for a move for you!
ReplyDeleteIf I could find another apartment I could afford I might.
DeletePolice helicopters are quite common here. Lots of undesirables drag race on streets not too far from us and they run on foot to hide in the park one street over.
ReplyDeleteI believe it. The helicopter has a good chance of finding the people.
DeleteSix police cars? That sounds like overkill, unless they were looking for a gang of serial killers!
ReplyDeleteI don't know who they were looking for but they sure did a lot of looking.
DeleteYikes! Never a dull moment around there!

Not lately.
DeleteWell that would freak me out! Although the police helicopter is a novel experience. I normally have army chinooks flying overhead any they're noisy.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, they sure are.
DeleteThat's scary when you suddenly hear the police with a helicopter and cars outside. There's always something happening at your apartment complex.
ReplyDeleteYeah, there seems to be no end in sight for the drama around here.
DeleteI hope that they did find who they were looking for.
ReplyDeleteNot sure if they did.
DeleteOh my goodness, that's a lot of police! I wonder who they were looking for.
ReplyDeleteI don't know. Thy sure came out in force though.
DeleteYikes! I really wish you could move. 😯
ReplyDeleteI do too but the rent is the cheapest I can find around here.
