Apartment Life #402
This is a weekly blog post that I'm calling Apartment Hell Life. I've mentioned a few times some of the crazy things that have gone on in and around my apartment complex and in my neighborhood in the past 27 years that I've lived here and people keep telling me I should write a book. But instead of a book, I've decided to share the crazy things that have happened in and around my apartment complex in the last 27 years here in a weekly blog post.
I got a picture of the police helicopter as it was circling around my apartment complex and going right over the sound wall. No police showed up so I have no idea why he was circling around here.
I don't post a lot of the homeless people unless they do something worth posting about. The guy who has this grocery cart filled with stuff and the blankets hanging on the wall has been around here for a few weeks. I don't care that he has been hanging out around here, he always says hello to me. But one day this week he pulled his pants all the way down (nothing was hidden), he then backed up to the edge of the sidewalk, squatted over the street and went #2. Cars were driving by, people were out walking around like me and Falcor and he cared not. At least he didn't go on the sidewalk, I guess.

I have a neighbor, I'll be referring to her as Streaker from now on because I've now seen this lady naked or half naked at least 4 times now. She answers the door with no clothes on all the time. One of those times I had my daughter's best friend with me and she turned around and walked the other way. lol So streaker saw me walking Falcor the other day and called me over, she wasn't wearing anything but was tryin and failing to hide behind her door. She told me she had a Christmas present for me and to holler at her when I got back from the walk. So I did and she answered the door in her underwear, nothing else on. Handed me my present and said Merry Christmas. I said thank you and went back to my door. lol

So that's it for this week's Apartment Hell Life! Be sure to come back next week for more.

I hope the Christmas present wasn't the same kind as the homeless guy gave to the edge of the street. What a bunch of oddballs.
ReplyDeleteHa! No, the present was a mug with some candy and a gift card.
DeleteI have to laugh at the naked lady wanting to give you a Christmas present. And she put her underwear on just so she would be covered when you came back, lol.
ReplyDeleteShe is something else.
DeleteWhat did she give you? Hopefully not her clothes.
ReplyDeletelmao No, she gave me a mug with some candy and a gift card.
DeleteThat is a whole lot of mental illness. Back in the day, those people would be in asylums. What a crazy world we live in. I hope the present was something useful, but I'm doubting it!
ReplyDeleteThe present was a mug with some candy and a giftcard.
DeleteMost of us should not be seen nude except maybe in those special moments. Maybe.
ReplyDeleteI agree.
DeleteI am definitely curious about what your present was- and I hope it was something that made you smile.
ReplyDeleteIt was a mug with some candy and a giftcard.
DeleteI feel sorry for these people
ReplyDeleteI do too.
DeleteIs it at all possible Streaker has no clothes? Maybe you should gift her a coverall, like a flowery dress or big shirt, in return.
ReplyDeleteShe has clothes. She comes out in skimpy clothes all the time. One of the other neighbors who also saw her naked thinks she might be a cam girl.
DeleteMaybe the chopper came to arrest some South American dictator who came shopping to Las Vegas?

DeleteIt's sad the homeless have no place else to go. I remember reading a book years about about travels in India and taking the early train out of Mumbai, and greeted with a long line of "moons" doing their morning business.
ReplyDeleteIt is sad. Oh that's not somehting I would want to see.
DeleteWell you do have some surprising stories!
ReplyDeleteYou just never know what's going to happen around here from day to day.
DeleteCrazy times honestly. Imagine these stories in a sitcom or something! Mrs Streaker yikes!
ReplyDeleteWe don't often see the police choppers here unless someone is missing.
We are -5C here tonight Mary, chilly chilly Scotland!
Oh, that is cold. Keep warm. People are crazy.
DeleteI still can't believe some of the things you see!
ReplyDeleteSo many weird things happen around here.
DeleteOh my goodness. That was nice of your neighbor to give you a Christmas present, though, lol
ReplyDeleteOMG! You need to take all of these stories and make a book. What did Streaker gift you?
ReplyDeleteI guess the streaker's clothes are homeless too!
ReplyDeleteYour neighborhood is full of colorful people!
ReplyDeleteWe have helicopters circling sometimes, and I never find out what for. Annoying. They are loud.
ReplyDeleteYour neighborhood is very eclectic. Glad the gift from streaker was worth it.
What a nice thing for your neighbor to do. Happy New year!
ReplyDeleteNever a dull moment at your place!
ReplyDeleteWel she maybe naked but a thoughtful person it seems to give you a gift for Christmas.
ReplyDeleteAlways something going on in your area, Mary.
I’ve learned that homelessness exists in many countries around the world, not only in the United States. I often watch videos on YouTube showing kind people distributing free food or meals to homeless individuals in the U.S. You can see them standing in line to receive meals; however, something caught my attention. Many homeless people still have cellphones in their hands, and their outfits can look quite decent, including hoodies, shoes, and jackets. Some of them also receive financial support from the U.S. government. It’s quite amazing to me
ReplyDeletegoodness they are starting the year off with excitement that you don't need!
