There's a huge fire burning at Mount Charleston which is not too far from where I live. I looked outside and saw this and so I decided to take a few pictures of it. That's actually the smoke from the fire.
I was standing right in front of my apartment complex taking these pictures and as you can see the smoke has drifted a long ways.
I started in front where the smoke can be seen billowing off the mountain and kept taking pictures to the right, where the smoke has drifted.
There's smoke all over the Las Vegas valley from the fire.
This is the alley behind my apartment complex and you can still see the sun setting behind all that smoke.
The sun shining through the smoke made for some very strange clouds.
There have been lots of big fires in the US recently. At least we've seen lots of coverage on our news. I hope no one was hurt in the fire.

ReplyDeleteThankfully no one has died or been hurt from this fire. I think that's probably due to the mandatory evacuations.
