Favorite Picture of the Week
Last week my dad, brother, step mom and sister in law came for a visit. He brought his pet tortoise with him to show our dad. Her name is Babbette. They've had her for 2 years.
Then my sister in law pulled out their newest addition, a baby tortoise. They already have a dog, 3 cats, 2 rabbits and Babbette so adding another little tortoise is no big deal. lol

My aunt had an old tortoise who used to hang out in her garden and it would scare the bejeebers out of me when I'd come upon him all of a sudden under a plant. He was a neat guy. Ah, love seeing picks of Babette and the baby.
ReplyDeleteThat's funny. I can understand getting scared if you're not ready for it. They were really cute.
DeleteAwww what a cute baby
ReplyDeleteI know. First time I've seen a baby turtle.
DeleteGood for Babbette to have a new buddy.
ReplyDeleteYeah, she likes to follow them around the house. lol
DeleteIs that a desert thing? I've never heard of anyone around here having a pet tortoise.
ReplyDeleteThey actually live in California. My sister in law's aunt has a few and when she was given a hurt one to rehab, she gave it to my brother and his wife.
DeleteThey have a small zoo lol
ReplyDeleteWe had a gopher tortoise living in our yard for several years until his tunnel collapsed. He and the dogs would check in and say hi to each other every day lol

ReplyDeleteI know. The baby got a lot of aww's. lol
DeleteAdorable! Hugs...RO
ReplyDeleteThanks.
DeleteI've seen a few crossing the street where I live. The move so slow I am always tempted to help them pass the busy road so they aren't hit!
ReplyDeleteI would be tempted too.
DeleteThanks. I've never had one either.
ReplyDeleteThose are both pretty darn cool!
ReplyDeleteThanks, I thought so too.
DeleteOh my! So cute!
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteShe's a beauty! My cousin-in-law has two of them. They are a few years old and have certainly grown a lot.
ReplyDeleteI imagine they'll get pretty big.
DeleteThey are so cute! We used to find little baby ones in the creek down the road from my house when we were little, but mom would never let me keep any of them.
ReplyDeleteThat's so neat that you found them out in the wild like that.
DeleteI love tortoises/ turtles. Nice...
ReplyDeleteI do too, thanks.
DeleteVery cool! The new addition is so small! We have turtles in our family :)
ReplyDeleteHe was so tiny and cute. I don't know a lot of people who have turtles so that's cool.
