Favorite Picture of the Week
This week I took Falcor for a longer walk because I'm still working on my Agoraphobia and we walked all the way to the end of this path until we got to the street. I was laughing because of what I found at the end...
...another metal tree and bench! Now I've talked about these metal tree's and benches before and you can find that post here. But essentially they are part of the beautification project here in Las Vegas. Along my street there are several of them and I just found another one.
As you can see from that first picture and from of my other posts, we have desert landscaping and instead of grass and a bunch of tree's that means we have dirt, rocks and plants/tree's that don't require a lot of watering. In my courtyard there's rocks on the ground a large Pine tree's. I've made fun of all the large rocks in my neighborhood and here are a couple more next to the bench.
And for you Christine Feehan fans out there, I am a guest reviewer over at I Smell Sheep, where I reviewed Shadow Warrior along with another reviewer. It's a double review! I hope to see you over there.

DeleteWell, in a way, it looks like art work, which is nice. Too bad about the graffiti.
ReplyDeleteYeah I know. Usually the city workers come through a few times a year and spray paint over the graffiti.

ReplyDeleteOh yeah, it does.
DeleteGood job on getting a little further on your walk. I was thinking the same as Adam though. I imagine those metal trees get really hot in Vegas!
ReplyDeleteThanks. They sure do.
DeleteVery cool on the walking, and that metal tree is something else.(lol) Yay to Christine Feehan! Hugs...RO

DeleteGood for you for walking further! So the tree and bench are ,metal? Um, won't they burn your ah ass in the hot desert temps?👀
ReplyDeleteThank you. Yes, they're metal. LOL They get hot.
DeleteAnd, the reward for making it to the end of the street... another metal tree to add to your list. LOL
ReplyDeleteYou know, I'll bet those get hot when the sun hits them and I'm not sure I'd want to sit on that metal seat.
I laughed when I saw it there. Oh I bet they get hot.
DeleteThe metal ornamentation/benches are weird but I quite like the look of them. Don't think I'd want to sit on a metal bench with the temperatures you get but still... Pretty.
ReplyDeleteI quite like the look of Feehan's Shadow Riders. I haven't read any of them yet!
I really love that series. I hope you get a chance to read it. Those benches get hot.
DeleteI bet those benches are hot, but they look nice.
