Apartment Life #225
This is a new weekly blog post that I'm calling Apartment Hell Life. I've mentioned a few times some of the crazy things that go on in and around my apartment complex in the past 21 years that we've lived here and people keep telling me I should write a book. But instead of a book, I've decided to share the crazy things that have happened in and around my apartment complex in the last 21 years here in a weekly blog post.
At 12am on Tuesday night our power went out. My daughter looked outside and saw that only a few apartments were without power so she walked over to the breaker boxes on the alley side of the buildings and sure enough, someone had turned the breakers off to a few apartments. So she flipped the breakers back up and some of the older residents asked her to flip their breakers on since they physically couldn't do it. Hopefully that doesn't happen again.
On Monday morning I was walking Falcor and spotted the police across the street. No one was arrested and they left soon after they got there so I don't know what that was about.
So that's it for this week's Apartment Hell Life! Be sure to come back next week for more.

That's a whole new level of annoyance. But at least you didn't get shots or stuff like that 🙄.
ReplyDeleteNo gunshots but having some knucklehead turn our power off was annoying enough.
DeleteThat's rather unnerving someone has access to your breaker box.
ReplyDeleteAll the breaker boxes are just on the alley side of the buildings. They aren't even locked. Anyone can flip the breakers.
DeleteThat’s nuts!
DeleteOh brother! What is wrong with people?
ReplyDeleteI wish I knew.
DeleteI don't like that just anyone can get to the breaker box!
ReplyDeleteI don't either. All the breaker boxes are just on the alley side of the buildings. They aren't even locked. Anyone can flip the breakers.
DeletePerhaps it was done with the purpose of stealing electricity. They steal water too.
ReplyDeletePeople should regularly check water and elecricity watches.
I doubt that was the case here. Someone was just being annoying.
DeleteThey turned off the breakers... wow. I can't even.
ReplyDeleteThey must have had nothing better to do.
DeleteHard to believe that the breakers are accessible like that.

Deletethat's a bummer having someone to arbitrarily cut off your power!

I know. Very annoying.
DeleteSigh at the people with nothing better to do. I have no doubt that people were very grateful to your daughter for restoring their power though.
ReplyDeleteYeah they were.
DeleteI'm glad is was just the breakers! Seems like there is always something around your place lol.
ReplyDeleteYeah, who knows what it will be next week.
DeleteSo a quiet week. ;D Glad your power outage was so easily fixed!
ReplyDeleteI was too.
DeletePeople can be Aholes.
ReplyDeleteThat's the truth.
DeleteStill, calm week
ReplyDeleteyes, it was.
DeleteA quiet week for you!
ReplyDeleteYeah it was.
DeleteWhat? No drama this week!
ReplyDeleteJust a bit with the breakers being shut off.
DeleteYikes that's not good. Someone messing around with the breakers.

DeleteIt been a while since we lost power
ReplyDeleteI don't want to lose power again for a while.
DeleteMy favoutite series!
ReplyDeleteThank you. I'm so glad to hear that.
Deletelove this blog series Mary
ReplyDeleteThank you so much.
DeleteJust a power outage and a police visit---a tame week for you!
ReplyDeleteIt was tame.
DeleteI hope the power will stay still
ReplyDeleteSo far so good.
DeleteI can't believe just anyone can turn off your power. I wouldn't like that at all. Many movies start that way and they don't end happily.
ReplyDeleteAll the apartment complexes are like that around here.
DeleteWho does that and why? So rude. They need to be a lock on the box or something!
ReplyDeleteI would love for there to be locks on them.
DeletePeople are so irritating! Glad your daughter was able to solve the problem for you and the neighbors.
ReplyDeleteI am too, thanks.
DeleteNever a dull moment for you!
ReplyDeleteNope.
DeleteHow annoying that people can be so rude and mess with the power like that. Idiots.
ReplyDeleteIt happens from time to time.
DeleteOh, no. Why would someone turn the breakers off?
ReplyDeleteJust to mess with people.
DeleteThat's ridiculous that just anyone has access to your breaker box!
ReplyDeleteI know.
DeleteThe breaker boxes are accessible to the public so people can just turn them off? That's extraordinary. I've never heard of such a thing over here.
ReplyDeleteit's like that in all of the apartment complexes around here.
DeleteThe police should probably put a station there given how often they come a visiting!
ReplyDeleteyeah they should.
DeleteBasically a quiet week there for you. I hope it continues. 😊
ReplyDeleteI hope so too.
DeleteThere really is so much strange stuff happening in your neighborhood. At least your daughter was able to turn them back on!
ReplyDeleteEvery week something happens it seems.
