Snow on the Nevada Mountains
I liked the clouds so I took a picture of them.
The next day the mountains in the background had snow on them. I enlarged the picture so you could see the snow. I took these pictures last month. It's warming up now.
The mountains to the North also had snow on them.
My brother lives in Lovelock, Nevada (which is about 9 hours from me in Las Vegas) and he took this picture from his house last month when there was snow on the ground where he lives.

Have you ever been to the mountains back in the healthier days?
ReplyDeleteOh yes. Ken and I used to take our daughter hiking up at Mt Charleston all the time when she was younger.
DeleteI remember snow like that when I lived in Arizona. Made the mountains so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteIt really does.
DeleteWhen I was a little girl, snow on mountaintops---that was perfection, I thought.
ReplyDeleteI feel the same way
DeleteSome of those mountains around Vegas are pretty tall. Isn't Mt. Charleston around 12,000 feet? I once had a tire repaired in Lovelock!
ReplyDeleteYes, it is almost 12,000 at the peak.
DeleteI'm glad we've been having warmer weather here by me.
ReplyDeleteOh it'll be hot as hades here real soon.
DeleteI love that contrast of snow on the mountains against a summer-blue sky. :D
ReplyDeleteIt was a nice month.
DeleteI always forget that snow isn't too far away from Las Vegas.
ReplyDeleteWe have mountains all the way around us so we can see the snow all over.
DeleteWhen I have been out West, I have always been amazed by the distance you can see around you. I know it is beautiful. Clouds are my thing too.
ReplyDeleteI love the cloudy days.
DeleteSnow and palms look so weird together (in a good way! I mean, one always associates palms with tropical islands...not with snow).
ReplyDeleteI always thought it was weird that we have so many palm trees here in Vegas too.
DeleteThe mountains sure are pretty, especially with the snow!
ReplyDeleteI thought so too.
DeleteVery nice
ReplyDeleteThanks.
DeleteI prefer snow in the mountains and not on the road. Great pics, Mary!
ReplyDeleteThanks.
DeleteI love the mountains! What beautiful scenery.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteI bet it’s fun to see snow there.
