Happy Raturday!

Welcome to a new weekly blog post I'm calling, Raturday! I've seen Caturday and while that's really cute, I think the rats needs some photo time so everyone can see how cute these little animals are. I've gotten permission from Rat Logic's fb page to share their pictures on my blog. So get ready to smile because these are cute.

Review: Ice Ball Maker by DenadaDenada

When I first saw these ice ball molds, I was so interested in having a set for myself and I'm really glad that I did. I found these ice ball molds really easy to use. Just put the two halves together and fill with distilled or boiled water because if you use regular tap water the ice balls will come out cloudy, not that it mattered to me I still loved them.

One thing I do recommend is to not fill all the way to the top because ice expands and some will leak out of the holes in the top. So leave about 1/2 an inch of space at the top with no water and the ice will expand to fill the molds.

I read the recipes that came with the box and plan on trying a few of them. I think colored ice balls sounds really fun and plan on trying to do some of those as well.

I don't drink alcohol but I love to make iced coffee at home. So I brewed up a little extra and poured my coffee into the ice ball molds and used that as the ice in my iced coffee. It's great because it looks fabulous and when it melts it won't water down my iced coffee because it is iced coffee!

The first time I made the ice balls, I filled the molds too much which is why my ice balls look like they have nipples. lol
