Apartment Life #342
This is a weekly blog post that I'm calling Apartment Hell Life. I've mentioned a few times some of the crazy things that have gone on in and around my apartment complex and in my neighborhood in the past 25 years that I've lived here and people keep telling me I should write a book. But instead of a book, I've decided to share the crazy things that have happened in and around my apartment complex in the last 25 years here in a weekly blog post.
On Halloween when my daughter and grandson's father was taking my grandson to a Halloween party, they spotted an accident only a couple of streets away from where I live. The lady had been in the street selling flowers when a car accidentally hit her, she died. They covered her with a sheet.
The bucket of flowers that she had been selling was still sitting on the median after the police blocked the street off. That's really sad to have happened.
There was a news report that I found on this.
---
This is the laundry room for my complex. There are 88 apartments in my complex. There used to be 4 washers and 4 dryers in this laundry room. The floor also used to be covered in laminate tile. But they pulled that up and it's just the cement block there now. This week management or maintenance decided to get rid of all but one washer and one dryer.
They used to take quarters and now you have to download an app and pay for it through the app.
One washer and dryer for 88 apartments seems a bit crazy. But I don't think they care. The laundry room is a mess too, they don't clean it. Some of the residents sweep it every once in a while but not recently. I don't use this laundry room. There's a self serve laundry mat across the parking lot in the shopping center next door or I just hand wash my stuff. There's too much drug smoking and other weird things that go on in the laundry room for me to be going in there.
The high this week was 80F/26C
The low this week was 47F/8C
So that's it for this week's Apartment Hell Life! Be sure to come back next week for more.
