Book Review: The Alien's Allegiance by Calla Zae

Book Description

"She arrived on this new planet with two hot suns, but it was this blue warrior who burned away all her doubts."

As Captain of the Norakian warriors, Kazstrom anticipates the upcoming competition that can promote him to be the next General of his legion. But a poisonous wound threatens to eliminate his dream. The hunt for a cure leads him to Earth, where he encounters an alluring human female who not only possesses the moonstone he desperately needs, but she also ignites something deep within him. Intrigued, he is compelled to protect her from enemies who are after the same moonstone.

Teegan, a second-grade teacher, is drowning in debt and doubt after a failed engagement when a stunning star-being asks her to go to his planet and heal him. With nothing to lose, she decides a mini out-of-this-world adventure with Kazstrom is the exact escape required to alleviate her life’s issues. But her heart has its own plans and tosses her into an escalating romance filled with danger that will leave them both shattered if they are not careful.

As Kazstrom battles his worst enemy to protect his starmate, Teegan must find her warrior spirit to defend the star-being she has come to love.

My Review

Several aliens come into Teegan's shop looking for the stone that she is wearing around her neck in a necklace. Kaz keeps the other aliens away and she agrees to go with him in order to keep her safe. After learning that he was told the moonstone can heal his wound, she tries to help but the moonstone which talks to her at times, doesn't help heal him. Instead the moonstone tells her that there is another way for his wound to be healed and they set off to outer space to find a healer who he thinks might be able to heal the wound. Along the way they encounter some interesting aliens and danger but the romance between them fell kinda flat for me.

The moonstone has its own mission though and uses Teegan and Kaz to get it done but for a good reason. Now this story starts off really good and the story had promise to be really good but after the first couple of chapters is slowed down and the engagement just wasn't there for me anymore. While the ending was good and I liked how it ended, it took a while to get to that point and I found myself bored and putting the book down several times. I'm glad I finished it but it wasn't as good or as entertaining as I had hoped it would be when I first started reading it.

I give this book 3 out of 5 stars.

Apartment Life #290

This is a weekly blog post that I'm calling Apartment Hell  Life. I've mentioned a few times some of the crazy things that have gone on in and around my apartment complex and in my neighborhood in the past 25 years that I've lived here and people keep telling me I should write a book. But instead of a book, I've decided to share the crazy things that have happened in and around my apartment complex in the last 25 years here in a weekly blog post.

Update on my neighbor who had her car towed:

She told me that she hasn't paid rent in 2 months, ever since her car was towed. She said that the manager keeps coming to her door asking her when she's going to pay rent and she keeps telling them she's not until they reimburse her the $800 she paid to get her car out of the towing place. I don't see that happening.

I asked her why she doesn't just register her car and go to DMV and get her own plates? She said because if she did that she would have to take her car to a mechanic so that her car would pass the smog check because it won't right now. And if she did register it she would have to pay each year to get another smog check and if it didn't pass, more work done at the mechanics and pay more money for the registration sticker each year and she doesn't want to pay the money. It's just that simple.

So she would rather steal registration stickers off of other peoples cars and steal a license plate from another car that looks like hers so she doesn't get pulled over while driving. She said if the judge makes her hand over the license plate she has, she'll just get another one. Oh and the manager never came by to do an apartment inspection and no other door locks have been changed. So they gave her a line of bull so they could change her locks.

----

I looked out my bedroom window and saw this woman sitting here right out in the open hitting the crack pipe. I really don't know for sure what kind of drugs she was smoking but probably meth or crack. I took this picture from my bedroom window and you can see she was across the street. I watched for a few minutes because I had a feeling she was going to pass out there on the sidewalk and I was right.

A few minutes later she just sorta fell over. A police car drove right by her and didn't stop. Like I've said before, there's no need to call the police, they won't do anything. She slept there for about 30 minutes.

Then two of her junkie friends came along on their bicycles and woke her up. She was having a really hard time standing up but she did eventually gather her stuff and walk away with them. It's not unusual to see people passed out, high, or doing drugs right out in the open around here. I want to reiterate that I don't take or post pictures of these people to make fun of them but rather to show people what it's like to live around here and what I see on an almost daily basis.

The high this week was 83F/28C
The low this week was 47F/8C

So that's it for this week's Apartment Hell  Life! Be sure to come back next week for more.

Favorite Song of the Week

Dark Divine - Cold

I love the lead singers voice and the band's makeup just fits with them for some reason. I really enjoyed watching the video and listening to them quite a bit. Enjoy.

Freebie Friday!/ Halloween Pics

Since I didn't receive any freebies this week I thought I would share a few more Halloween pics. This is outside our door.

Falcor wearing his Bat Wings.

They are the perfect size for him. When he runs they flaps in the wind which I find hilarious.

The window.

It's not all scary, here's something cute.

Eyeball candle.

Some of the stuff on the shelves light up at night.

My daughter added some lights to some of the shelves.

Years ago when I had rats ( I don't have any rats right now) I may have posed them with some props. This was Lucky.

Book Review: Wyoming Proud by Diana Palmer

Book Description

A sudden romance leads to betrayal and a shocking secret…

It takes one night for Erianne Mitchell to fall heart-first for dashing architect Ty Mosby. They work together and have friends in common—and a searing attraction that seems far too good to last.

But when a devastating mistake tears them apart, Erianne flees to Wyoming with a secret, one she hopes Ty never discovers. She did nothing wrong, and she’ll never ask Ty to forgive her. She'll support herself…and the baby growing inside her. How can she be with a man who doesn’t trust her?

Ty knows exactly what he’s lost and he’ll do anything to beg for her forgiveness and win back her trust. When he finds her, she’s just as proud as he remembers. Is it too late for him to make amends…or is destiny about to test them in an even bigger way?

My Review

This is book 12 in the Wyoming Men series by Diana Palmer and I have been enjoying all of these books. I love the characters, the storylines and how so many people know each other in these small towns. So many of the previous characters seem to pop up in the books and I like being able to see what they've been up to.

Erianne/Erin has been friends with Annie and her brother Ty for a long time. They are like family and Erin has been working for Ty at his company for a long time. When a bid goes wrong and Ty finds out that someone went behind his back and betrayed him, he hires a detective agency to find out who did it. When they tell him it was Erin, he doesn't go digging to see if they were right, he just fires her and tells her not to contact his sister again. That was a little shocking seeing how they have all been friends for so long and he is easily able to believe that she could do that.

Poor Erin has a really hard time of it and Ty just keeps making things harder for her. She loses everything and ends up leaving town to live with a distant cousin when she finds out she's pregnant with Ty's baby. After what he did, I wouldn't have even told my cousin who the father really was because he never would have seen me again. She was down and out and he just kept making things harder for her. I thought this guy was a total jerk for the longest time and smiled when he realized what he lost and how heart broken he was. He deserved that and more, for a longer period of time. I don't see how she'll ever trust him again but she's made of stronger stuff than I am because she loves him even after he hurt her emotionally when she was already hurting.

All these bad things kept happening to Erin and I kept expecting to see her fall apart but she never did, she just took it all in stride and kept going.

There were a few deaths in this book and that was sad to see. But I loved this book and will definitely be reading more of this series when the books come out.

I give this book 4 out of 5 stars.

Disclosure: I was given an e-ARC of this book via NetGalley but all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Book Review: Bound By Her Blood by Mara Leigh

Book Description

A newly-turned female vampire joins four hot males with dark secrets to battle an evil vampire king

Book 1 in a fast burn paranormal romance series.

"Unputdownable!"

I was alone as a human, and as a newly-turned vampire I'm trapped and tormented. But I will not give up--I will never give up. And I refuse to let my past define me.

Held in the dungeons of an evil vampire king who's determined to make me his bride, I escape and meet Rock, a protective giant who's hiding dark secrets, and Grayson, a mysterious and handsome vampire.
With their help, I recover, become stronger and I'm introduced to a world of passion and wealth. But my safety is threatened by Colton, a hunky, vampire-killing cop, and I’m pursued by Pike, a terrifying vampire who won't rest until he claims me as his own.

Bound by Her Blood is the first book in a Paranormal Romance series where the heroine has more than one love interest and does not have to choose.

My Review

Selina is a vampire who was held hostage by the vampire king who wanted to make her one of his brides but she wouldn't or couldn't cooperate. It wasn't as easy as just agreeing to do it and when he doesn't get his way, the evil king throws her in the dungeon where she's abused and tortured. If she had been a human, it would have killed her. It was only her vampire healing abilities that saved her from death but that just meant that they could torture her more and for a long time, which they did. The torture was completely over the top and gruesome.

Once she escapes, she runs into Rock who is a gentle giant, not human but he doesn't know what he is. It was a good mystery but one that I wish we had some closure to. Rock has had his own torture in his past and because of that he refuses to have sex. But when Rock offers Selina a safe place to stay because he knows she's in danger, she feels things for Rock and takes it personally that he won't have a sexual relationship with her. She keeps pushing at him which really irritated me. Once he said no, she should have backed off. The fact that she had been sexually abused and then turns around and is really pushy with this guy just made me not like her at all. We are to believe that because of her vampire nature that she really can't help it but if that's true then the vampire characters in this book are going to be less than likeable.

Rock is friends with a few vampires and through them she meets Grayson who is also a vampire. Right from the start Gray and Selina seem to feel something for each other which confuses her and makes her feel guilty because she also feels something for Rock and doesn't want to make him feel bad. But She and Gray can't seem to keep their hands or fangs off each other which makes her feel bad but Rock is happy for them since Gray seems to be able to give her the sexual relationship that he cannot. He still loves her and wants to be in her life but things get complicated.

I was trying to like this story even with the problems that I mentioned but the characters are just not likable. I knew this was going to end on a cliffhanger because of the reviews I read and I could have overlooked that if the story and characters had been better.

I give this book 2 out of 5 stars.

Book Review: Dark Prince by Callie Rose

Book Description

My new billionaire boss is hot as sin. He also happens to be the devil himself.

And there’s only one thing he wants…

Me.

I never meant to get caught stealing a priceless artifact from Lucas Hale, Los Angeles’s most notorious playboy billionaire. And I definitely never expected him to offer me a job as a way to pay off my debt.

But if it keeps me out of jail, I can play the role of assistant to this cocky, gorgeous man. It can’t be that hard, right?

Even if the chemistry between us is so intense that just being in the same room with him makes my blood heat.

Even if I accidentally walk in on him “taking care of himself” during my first week in the office… and I swear I hear him groan my name.

Even if I don’t quite understand how he moves so fast when he saves me from a psycho who tries to attack me on the street.

On second thought, maybe I’m in over my head with this new job. Because I’m starting to get the feeling there’s a lot more to Lucas Hale than meets the eye. A darker, more dangerous side of him than anyone knows.

And the most terrifying part?

That’s the side of him that tempts me.

Dark Prince is a steamy paranormal romance where the villain gets the girl. It's the first book in the Chosen by Lucifer trilogy.

My Review

When I saw that this was book 1 in a trilogy I read some of the reviews to see if this would end in a cliffhanger and some reviews said that it did, so I knew that going in and still decided to read it. The premise was just too much fun not to give it a try.

Sophia has to get her sister out of a jam that her jerk of an ex put her in. Her sister is innocent of the crime the gang thinks she is responsible for so Sophia goes to the leader gang member to see what she can do to get her sister out of this jam. All she has to do she's told is steal an artifact from a very wealthy man, a man that Sophia met recently when he saved her life. Should be easy to get in to see him then, right? Stealing the artifact, not so much.

Lucas/Lucifer is a billionaire businessman, he's also a demon, the prince of hell. After he goes against his better judgment and saves Sophia from getting hurt or killed in an accident, he's a little surprised that she comes to see him at work. She thinks she can get away with something that belongs to him but he catches her because she has no idea who he really is. He's so mad that someone tried to steal from him that he almost kills her on the spot but when she tells him she only did it to get her sister out of trouble with some gang members, he tells her he will pay off the gang leader but Sophia has to come work for him as his personal assistant to pay off the debt. It's not like she has a choice.

Lucas is obsessed with her and doesn't know why and he knows she feels kinda the same way about him. So them working closely together is all it takes before they are acting on their feelings. But when someone close to him betrays him in ways he can hardly believe and puts Sophia in danger, she gets more than an eye full of supernaturals. Good grief, this was so good. The twist this took, the different demons and supernaturals that come out of the woodwork was great. The action, danger, romance and steamy, naughty scenes between these two were great. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of this trilogy now. I can't wait to see what happens next.

I give this book 4 out of 5 stars.

Apartment Life #289

This is a weekly blog post that I'm calling Apartment Hell  Life. I've mentioned a few times some of the crazy things that have gone on in and around my apartment complex and in my neighborhood in the past 25 years that I've lived here and people keep telling me I should write a book. But instead of a book, I've decided to share the crazy things that have happened in and around my apartment complex in the last 25 years here in a weekly blog post.

This past Sunday the police helicopter was flying over my apartment complex for a couple of minutes and then made a wider circle over the next street over as well.

Then this police car sat here for a second and sped off around the corner. Something was happening one street away from mine but I don't know what. I heard a few police sirens headed that way but this was the only police car I saw on my street.

Then a couple of minutes later this ambulance headed that way as well. I have no idea what happened but something did.

-----

There was also some drama here at my apartment complex. My elderly neighbor who lives three doors away from me had her car towed out of the alley last month. She does not have a license plate and it's not registered because she says that it's in her deceased husband's name and she just hasn't bothered to fix it. She has a license plate but she only puts it on her car to drive because it's not her license plate, she stole it. She's the same lady that a couple of years ago I told you she got caught stealing registration stickers off of somebody's license plate so I know this license plate is not hers she said that it's not hers cuz she hasn't registered the car in her name.

So the towing company came out towed her car. She called the office and the office told her that they have a contract with towing company and if anybody does not have a license plate on their car it gets towed away. She thought that she could make the management company pay to get her car out from the towing company so she didn't go down right away and when they refused to pay she went down and found out it was going to be $800 to get her car back from the towing company. Because they add on money for each day that they have your car.

So she got her car but she still hasn't registered it and she doesn't have a legal license plate on it. So she called legal aid and asked them if they would help her Sue the towing company and the management company for this apartment complex and they took her case. She had her first court case this past Tuesday and when her lawyer asked the towing company why they singled out her car and not the other cars in the alley who are not legal, they told her that 99% of the time including this time when they tow a car from the alley it's because someone from the management company has called them and told them to tow the car, and that was this case as well. So the managers here got caught lying to her when they told her that it's just policy that they had nothing to do with her car being towed.

I don't really think it matters that they got caught lying about how her car got towed though because it's not legal as in she doesn't have it registered and she did not have a license plate on her car so even though it's not listed somewhere in the lease or on a sign outside that you can't have an unregistered car, I still think because her car was not legal that she's not going to win this case. So I'm kind of surprised that legal aid took the case in the first place.

So on Tuesday the lawyer amended the lawsuit to include all of the managers for this complex because there are a few since none of them would come clean and say which one called the towing company and had her car towed so they are all being sued individually. So on Wednesday my neighbor had a notice on her door that she told me was a inspection notice and she's really mad because they singled her out for an apartment inspection which they usually do once a year and they do everybody's apartment at the same time over a period of 2 days.

The letter stated that sometime in the next 7 days they would come and inspect her apartment. Now every other inspection letter that we've gotten yearly they give us a 24-hour notice because legally that's all they're required to give us. So she called the apartment complex and talked to a manager and told them that they would not be coming into her apartment and that if they tried she would call the police. She also called her lawyer at legal aid and she's waiting for them to get back to her.

Now I don't know how it is in other states but in this state if you live in an apartment or a house and you have a manager or an owner, they are only required to give you a 24-hour notice that they are going to come in and inspect your apartment. So I don't think she has any way of stopping them from coming in and doing an inspection but it is awfully weird that they would single her out for an inspection, give her a 7-Day notice instead of a 24-hour notice that they are coming, and it happens right after the first court date that she had with them. That seems like quite the coincidence to me.

Then Thursday night at 8:30pm she knocks on my door and tells me that maintenance and the manager just came to her door and told her that the office was broken into and someone stole all of the master keys for the apartment doors as well as all the keys to the mailboxes and that they needed to change her locks and that the mailbox locks had already been changed for the most part and she would be getting a key tomorrow. So she let them change her locks because she believed their story but the thing is they didn't come to anyone else's apartment in this Courtyard to change their locks only hers.

So when she came to my door I told her I think she just got snoockered and that they wanted to make sure that they could get into her apartment when they do the inspection. But she said she saw the police,  but she's known to lie and I had just been out there like 15 minutes beforehand with the dog and there were no police. But why would they only change her lock at 8:30 at night and not come to anyone else's apartment, not put any notices on anyone's door and I also went and checked my mail and my key still works so they didn't change my mailbox lock either. I could be wrong but the seems really fishy.

Friday morning no one was here changing anyone else's door locks, no notices were put out and none of the mailbox locks were changed. So they only changed her door locks and I'm sure it was to make sure they could get in her apartment to do the inspection sometimes next week.

Book Review: Crux by Kate Rudolph

Book Description

Prince Crux is in a bind.
When the Dragon King commands Crux find a proper mate, his days of carefree bachelorhood are over. One trip to a psychic matchmaker and he's on the path to his destiny. But it all comes screeching to a halt when he meets a human woman who lights his inner fire and makes him yearn.

She's got a pair of roller skates and an attitude.
Courtney is supposed to be putting the shambles of her life back together. Getting abducted by aliens isn't part of the plan. Neither is getting rescued by a scorchingly hot dragon that makes her think of an impossible future. But they have no chance together if they can't first escape a planet full of monsters intent on their destruction.

My Review

Courtney is abducted by aliens but the space craft she's on crashes on an alien planet so she has to use what she has on hand, her roller skates to knock out one of the aliens so she can escape from the craft and onto the planet. She finds herself not equipped to keep herself safe on this planet because of the monsters who would kill her but Crux is there and tries to make her see that she would be safer with him until they can get off the planet.

Prince Crux is a dragon shifter who finds himself trapped on the same planet as Courtney. As he tries to find a way to communicate with his family and get them both off this planet, they find themselves getting closer. Crux is also looking for his mate before his father finds a female for him to mate with. At first he doesn't think Courtney could be his mate because she's human and he always believed when he met the right female to be his mate, she would be his own race but as these two spend time together and get closer, he knows he might be wrong because it's feeling more and more like Courtney is his mate.

Once they are safe, they find themselves in even more danger when someone double crosses Crux and there's a twist in this story that I never saw coming. I love a good twist that makes the story double back around and go in a totally different direction.

I really liked the ending although I would have liked a bit more story about what happened next with them. Maybe an epilogue or something would have been nice.

I give this book 4 out of 5 stars.

Book Review: Bodyguard Wolf Shifter by Keira Blackwood

Book Description

She deserves better, but fate doesn’t care.

I get the trash missions, the kind of crap any errand boy could handle. So when I’m called to do a transport, I’m not surprised. Until I see her.

She has class and curves, not to mention legs for days. Even on the run for our lives, it’s Alex who challenges me, who keeps me on my toes. This isn’t the mission I expected. It’s so much more. She’s more.

Alex is stuck with me as her bodyguard. But I know it’s more than that. Alex is my mate, or she will be if we can work together long enough to survive.

My Review

Alex is sent away from danger by her pack alpha who just happens to be her father. She's mad that he won't let her stay and fight along with her brother and the rest of the pack but she's a little less mad once she sees Reynolds who is there to escort her to safety and be her bodyguard in the meantime. Once they are on their way, they realize that the bad guys are following them and they want Alex.

Reynolds lets his own pack know that they are in danger and even though they started out not wanting to be where they were, they have to work together in order to stay safe. While they are on the run and trying to get to safety, they fall for each other pretty quickly. It was nice to see what happens in the end for them. Both of them seemed to need someone so it was nice to see them find each other. I enjoyed this quick read.

I give this 4 out of 5 stars.

Book Review: Cruel Shadows by Harper A. Brooks

Book Description

I’m caught in the shadows…
…and the shadows want to play.

I thought I’d dreamed up the shadow realm and the place I called Dark Castle.

But it’s very real. And he’s still here.

My prince, my savior, my captor…

The monster in my bed.

But this time, he’s not alone.

I must escape, but first, my prince and his shadow men want me to fulfill their demands.

All of them.

The longer I stay, the harder it is to resist their dark promises, their insatiable hunger. Because, while these monsters’ smiles are cruel, their touches are the most delicious torture.

But they aren’t the only threat in this world. The darkness that wanted me before has found me again, and like my Shadow Prince, it’s ready to claim me as its own…forever.

Cruel Shadows is book 1 in the Kingdom of Monsters series. It's a full length fantasy monster romance with some darker themes, lots of steam, and is a story where the heroine will end up with more than one love interest.

My Review

Stella used to have a very vivid imagination when she was a kid, so much so that she thought she was traveling to another world where she met Airic and since they were both kids at the time, they end up best friends. They go on like this for a very long time until when they are a little older he tells her to leave and never come back. She's not sure why he's so mean but she leaves and ends up in therapy because no one in her world believes that Airic exists. Years later, her life isn't great and she dreams that she's back in her dream world where Airic lives. She travels to the castle she knows he lives but things are different and now he's a cruel adult. He's not the same boy she remembers and the longer she stays there, the more she wants to go home but Airic shows her a small amount of compassion and love and she wants to stay there with him forever. But he locks her in her room and doesn't tell her what's really going on. She tries to escape and runs into Airic's cousin who she also seems to feel something for. Then there's the Knight that Airic sends to her to keep her safe, and she ends up sleeping with him. Stella ends up being this woman who wants Airic but sleeps with any man who flirts with her a little.

Things are not the way she thinks they are and she finds herself in danger but not from the men in her life. Airic should have told her the truth about what was going on but he leaves her alone with other men and lies to her over and over. I didn't like him but this story had promise so I kept reading, only to get to the end and be disappointed by a huge cliffhanger ending. So disappointing. I won't be reading any more books in this series.

I give this book 2 out of 5 stars.

The police had Antwon and some of the other druggies that live down at the end of my block outside and were questioning them. I think they might have found drugs on one of the guys because they arrested him and I haven't seen him since.
---

The ambulance showed up one night at 2am for someone in the building where our pool is. The flashing lights is what woke me up. They are really bright and came right through my curtains. The next day I could see a small blood trail leading from the sidewalk to the pool courtyard but I have no idea what happened.

On Friday around 7PM I heard two gunshots that sounded really close but after looking outside to the street, I didn't see anyone outside so I chalked it up to someone firing a couple rounds in the air.

Favorite Song of the Week

Freebie Friday!

Welcome to another weekly Freebie Friday post, where I tell you what free samples and full sized products I received in the mail and how you can get them too. Someone asked me why I do a "Freebie Friday" each week, so I'll tell you.

A while back I listed all the free samples and wins that I had received that previous year and so many people didn't believe that I could have gotten so many free things. So I decided to prove it by taking a picture every week and sharing the sites that I found the links to the freebies at. So now you too can get great free samples coming to your mailbox each week.

You can find links to great samples at Hey It's Free and Freebie Shark.

What did I receive this week?

A plastic plate from Walmart Spark Reviewer.
An assortment of perfumes from Macy's.
Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum

I like the plate, it's cute and sturdy.

Most of the perfumes smelled good, the men's cologne did not. I now have a couple of the night repair serum bottles. I don't think I'll run out any time soon. I like the stuff so that's good.

Did you receive any freebies this week?

Book Review: Captivity by Brenda trim and Tami Julka

Book Description

Lawson Scott has been a prisoner for three years. He's been subjected to torture, degradation, and numerous tests by humans wanting shifter blood. He's convinced he will spend the remainder of his life chained to a wall until sexy scientist, Liv Kimbro, is assigned to his case. She's the first human to show an ounce of compassion and their attraction is combustible despite his disdain for her species. An escape plan unfolds and Lawson sees how far Liv will go to set him free. Passion erupts and raw, primal need is unleashed when they succumb to their desire for one another.

Will Lawson reach his safe haven and find a life mate when Liv captures his heart or will their differences destroy them and everyone he loves?

My Review

One night when Olivia is at work and goes to find out how to turn the AC on, she shockingly finds out that her lab is kidnapping, holding captive and performing secret experiments on shifters. She doesn't know a lot about shifters since they tend to keep to themselves but when she witnesses the captive shifter kill a man right in front of her, she knows they're dangerous too. The next day when she returns to work, her boss confronts her about what she saw and there's video evidence so she can't get away with saying she saw nothing. Once that's cleared up her boss assigns her to get to know the shifter, Lawson and see if he will open up to her since he's been tight lipped with everyone else. Her boss wants him to shift and he has refused thus far.

Lawson hates humans, especially the humans who have been holding him captive, beating and experimenting on him. But once Olivia walks into his room, he thinks he might be able to trust her because she doesn't seem like the rest of them. Olivia's boss is a complete sleezeball and I was hoping he would get what was coming to him.

Once Olivia gets a better understanding of what's really going on at the lab, she knows she has to help Lawson and the other shifters escape. She enlists the help of some friends to help with the rescue and letting the right people know what's going on at the lab. Along the way Olivia and Lawson become closer and we watch as their relationship grows into a steamy romance. Whew, I need me a shifter boyfriend. I had such a great time reading this.

I give this book 5 out of 5 stars.
