Product Review: 10 KYNSA Chalk Markers + 40 Chalkboard Label Stickers

Product Description

Who says art has to be messy? Kynsa Liquid Chalk Markers are a fun, refreshing twist on conventional chalk and markers! Each pen is filled with 8g of high-quality ink and features a reversible nib with a bullet tip on one end and chisel point on the other. Unlike traditional chalk, the ink goes on smooth and opaque Create fancy lettering for signs, homemade cards, school projects, crafts, pantry labels and more. Since our chalk markers work on an array of non-porous surfaces, their uses are virtually endless!

These non-toxic, low-odor markers are so KID-FRIENDLY! When you're done, simply cap them and put back in the box. No messy cleanup or chalk-stained hands & clothes. And no airborne dust that can aggravate allergies and cause respiratory issues.

Best of all? Our chalk markers wipe off easily to fix mistakes or create a clean canvas. Just use a dry or damp cloth to start fresh-the ink won't streak or smudge!

Ideal for kids age 3 and up as well as moms, dads, teachers, artists, crafters & store or café owners who create signs for their business. Also makes a fantastic birthday or Christmas gift for that special boy or girl.

My Review

I bought a pack of these chalkboard markers for my grandson and after seeing them I liked them so much that I got a pack of them for myself too. These come with a pack of chalkboard labels that are reusable and all you have to do is wipe them off with a wet cloth and write on them again. I just bought myself a set of plastic storage containers so I knew that these would be perfect for them and I was right. I put stickers on each of the containers and labeled them and put them on my kitchen shelf and love them.

The markers are easy to 'charge' up and get started with. You just open the cap, press the tip down, put the cap back on and shake for 10 seconds. Take the cap off and press down until the tip fills with ink. The chalk goes on wet and you have to let it dry before messing with it but after it dries, it doesn't smudge unless you are really rough with it and are trying to wipe it off. You can also pull the tip out and turn it around in order to get a different edge to write with, which was so cool.

The stickers are really cool because you can take them off and put them on something else if you want to so they can be used over and over.

Disclosure: I was given this product at a discount in exchange for an honest review.

I like that I can label the canisters and if I put something different in them later, can just wipe the chalk markers off and write something else on the labels.

I give this set a 5 out of 5 stars.

Review: Innocent Next Door by Shelley Munro

Book Blurb

Adventure is Summer William's mission!

Life in a small town is comfortable, but living with her loving and overprotective family means it lacks adventure. And forget romance with two interfering army brothers around. It's time to leave the cozy nest. Her grandiose plans come to a grinding halt when she becomes innocently involved with a crime boss, then she bumps heads and lips with her uncle's sexy but very bossy neighbor.

Special Air Services soldier Nikolai Tarei owes his neighbor a favor, but looking out for his twenty-two year old niece is stretching friendship too far. She’s a virgin and her sex appeal, sassiness and brazen disregard for safety have Nikolai scrambling to protect both her and his battered heart.

Summer is a librarian who's a whiz at research. Now she's ready to try out the sex toys and sexual positions she's researched. The woman is tying Nikolai in sensual knots and driving him crazy—in and out of bed. But he’s enjoying the journey, and suddenly he's thinking about making his Summer babysitting assignment a full time commitment—if only he can persuade her to see things his way.

Warning: Contains an alpha army hero intent on offering protection and a virgin, BBW heroine craving action and adventure. Mix and see the hot sparks fly!

My Review

Summer is a librarian that ends up with the wrong package of books. The package she mistakenly picks up belongs to a bad guy and he will do whatever it takes to get what is his, even if that means hurting or killing anyone who stands in his way.

Nikolai is in the Special Air Services but after he hurt his knee he is supposed to be letting it heal. So when his next door neighbor goes on his honeymoon, he asks Nikolai if he will keep an eye on his niece while he's away. He does so begrudgingly at first and then because he wants to after she gets herself into trouble and needs his help.

Nikolai, his two male friends and Summer's brothers are all SAS soldiers, so that really helped the story line when Summer and Nikolai are in need of help. These guys make for the perfect heroes as they are strong, knowledgeable and can get the job done at a moments notice. I hope that the rest of these guys get their own story because I really liked them.

Now while Summer might be innocent (a virgin) she's got enough sass and spark to make a grown man groan, which he does quite often. Summer is funny, sassy and smart but sometimes does something impulsively which can have its consequences. But she's young so you have to expect impulsiveness from someone so young and inexperienced. All in all I really enjoyed this story and look forward to reading more stories about these characters.

I give this book 5 out of 5 stars

Product Review: Secret Deodorant

I received a free box of Clinical Strength Secret Deodorant thanks to Crowdtap.

My Review

I've been using Secret deodorant for years and when the clinical strength came out I switched to that and have been happy with it. I really like the smooth solid because it goes on like a solid but it's silky smooth and seems to work the best for me. I've never been able to wear the spray deodorant because it makes me itch and break out but I've never had that problem with the Secret deodorants.

It's not spring where I live and it's going to be getting really hot very soon. Here in Las Vegas we reach temps of 117F in the summer and I need a good deodorant/antiperspirant that is going to work for me.

The fact that Secret has so many really nice scents is another reasons that I haven't switched to another deodorant.

This post was sponsored by Secret® as part of a sampling activation for Crowdtap. I received complimentary products to facilitate my review.

Review: The Good, The Bad, and The Vampire by Sara Humphreys

Book Blurb

Book 4 of the Dead in the City series

Beloved author Sara Humphreys' acclaimed paranormal romance series continues with sweltering attraction between two vampires who have all the time in the world to satisfy their desires...

He wants eternity?
Dakota Shelton is a vampire cowboy with a penchant for cinnamon lollipops and Johnny Cash. Though highly skilled and deadly dangerous to his enemies, he's still a Texas good ol' boy at heart. And he has that heart set on wooing Trixie LaRoux-the most badass punk rock chick in town-the old-fashioned way.

Over her undead body...
Trixie is tough as nails and sharp as a silver stake-the last thing she wants is a man to sit on a porch and not grow old with. So it'll take going to hell and back fighting a new threat to vampires before she admits Dakota's courtship makes her blood hum. Turns out chivalry's not dead after all.

My Review

I knew I wanted to read this novel by an author who has written quite a few of my favorite paranormal stories, so when I saw it was available on Net Galley I asked for it and got it in exchange for an honest review.

I've really liked Trixie and was so glad to see her get her own story. Trixie had a really bad life as a human and in her brief time as an adult she was an addict and did some questionable things, things she's not proud of and would rather not have her vampire coven know about. She is spunky, sassy and seems happy in her vampire like but she has secrets and when Dakota follows her to the pregnant human's house out in the woods, one of her secrets gets found out.

Dakota is a smooth talking cowboy but he's also a Sentry which is the elite vampire police force.  Dakota and Trixie have feelings for each other but Trixie is not ready to face a relationship just yet. Dakota and Trixie seem to be completely opposite but sometimes opposites attract and it was enjoyable to watch their romance unfold.

Throw in some gargoyles, witches and a huge lie that was told to Dakota that tricked him into believing things that weren't true and you have a story with a lot of twists and turns. If you'd like to buy this for yourself, you can find it here

I give this book 4 out of 5 stars.

Favorite Picture of the Week

A few weeks ago I dusted off my old bread machine and bought the ingredients I needed to make some bread. This was my first loaf. I forgot how good fresh bread tastes. And it's so easy to make too. You just add all of the ingredients to the bread machine and turn it on. The bread machine does all the work and 4 hours later, you have a hot loaf of bread.

Product Review- Show You Care Packages (48 Count) Snack Packages

My Review

This would make a really nice care package or to send to someone in a dorm or who has kids because there are a lot of small packs of cookies, crackers, nuts and candy. If you're making lunch for yourself or someone else to take with them each day, this is a great thing to have to be able to pop in one or two different snacks a day with a sandwich. My daughter was making a sandwich for herself to take t work each day and adding a snack size bag or chips, cookies or crackers in her bag and with this she got to pick something different each day without me having to buy large boxes of several different types of snacks to have on hand. The price is a bit high but that's what you pay for the convenience of having so many different snacks on hand.

In addition to the snack size bags of chips, cookies and crackers, there's also at least 10 individual pieces of candy. My family loved it and it's nice to have a small snack for my grandson when he comes over. As you can see in my photo there's a little something for everyone and I'm happy to say that everything was fresh and not stale at all.

If you'd like to order this, you can find it on Amazon. When I ordered it, the price was $29.95.

My Review

I absolutely love these containers. I bought one of these locking containers and it worked so well that I decided to buy a few more of them. I now have a lot of my dry goods stored in them including pasta, cereal and dry dog food, flour and most of my baking ingredients. These storage containers stack nicely in my pantry or on the shelf in my kitchen and are easy to open and to close. They are tall and skinny and are perfect for storing spaghetti, cereals and dry foods that you want to keep fresher for a bit longer.

The seal is really strong and I even tried one of them out with water in it to see if any of the liquids would leak out. I filled one with water, locked the lid and shook it really well. Left it upside down for a few minutes and no water leaked out, not even a drop. The lid is easily taken apart so you can wash it and the lock is really air tight. These containers and locking lids are sturdy, made with thick hard plastic that isn't going to break if you drop it. They are going to last for a long time. I even bought stickers and markers to label my new containers so I know what's in them and so does my family. You can find this product on Amazon

Product Review: 2 Pcs Dog Gear Chew Toys

Product Description

Feature:
- Adorable
- Molar good partner
- Convenient cleaning
- Solid bite-resistant safe
- Long lasting dog toy
- Promotes healthy teeth and gums

This toy is made from Rubber, which is a kind of natural material. Dyes are made from edible pigments, so it is very safe for your pets. Dogs love to bite this toy. With this toy, dogs may lose interest of owners' shoes. This toy can not only help the pet molar, but also help the pet to vent emotions. Please note the size when you buy this product, so as not to bring you trouble. Note: When your dog bites the toy, some debris may fall, which is normal.

Falcor had fun with the toy for about 3 hours, then he pulled it apart.

Falcor pulled the red end off and chewed bits of rubber off the purple disc. It's bad enough that the toy didn't last even a day but what was worst was that after I posted my review on Amazon, the seller emailed me and said they would send me a refund if I would change my review to a positive one instead of a negative one. They also pointed out that in the description of the top it states: "Note: When your dog bites the toy, some debris may fall, which is normal." I'm sorry but it's not 'debris', it's part of the toy that a dog can chew and swallow, meaning it's not made well.

I didn't respond to the email and left my review as is. Now even though I got this at a discount, the rules on the site that I got the discount code from says that we are to leave honest reviews and that's what I do. If I like a product or dislike it, I say so and why. I let the site know and sent them a screen shot of the email they sent me so hopefully they won't be able to sell on that site anymore.

My Review

I've had my dog for about a year now and even though he's small and weighs only about 10 lbs, he is a chewer. Luckily he only chews on his toys...and shoes. So we keep the shoes up and make sure that he has plenty of toys to play with and chew on. I don't buy him stuffed toys because those are destroyed in about an hour. So when I saw this toy, I thought he might not be able to chew it to bits in an hour because it looks tough but I was wrong.

My dog was able to pull the little nubs off of the gear looking pieces in about an hour and then he tore one of the red ends off the toy about 2 hours later. The toy is made of soft rubber that a dog can easily tear to bits which my dog started to do before I took it away from him because I didn't want him to swallow any of the small parts he was tearing off and get sick from them. If you have a dog that likes to chew, this is not the right toy to get. I cannot recommend this toy. You can find this toy here

I give this dog toy 2 out of 5 stars.

Review: CushionCare Keyboard Wrist Rest Pad

My Review

If you sit at the key board for hours each day, your wrists and hands probably get just a tired as mine do. I've never used a mouse pad with a wrist rest on it so it did take some getting use to but after a few days of adjusting to it, I love it now. My sister in law had to have wrist surgery after years of typing and getting carpel tunnel and I didn't want that so this was a great product to get.

This would also make for a great gift for someone who sits at the computer all day for work because you just don't realize how much you are working your wrists when typing or using the mouse. Both the wrist rest and the mouse pad with the wrist rest built into it are very light weight and seem very durable. I expect they will last a good long time. If you'd like to purchase this product, you can find it here

I was given this product for free in exchange for an honest review.

Favorite Video of the Week

I thought I would share a video of one of the rats I had. This one is of Lucky the 3 legged rat that I had. He passed away over a year ago but he was such a beautiful rat, I love sharing his videos. You can see his missing front paw (he was born that way) while he gives me kisses, popcorns around his cage and tries to take my rings.

My Review

While I don't have one of those cell phones, my daughter does and so I found out what kind she had and got her a nice case as a surprise. I"m still living in the land of the dinosaurs with my landline phone but my daughter loves this case and it fit her phone perfectly.

It's really cute too, I just love the cherry blossoms on the front of it and that's the first thing that my daughter commented on as well. She thought that was really pretty. I also really liked that this came with a stylus too, that was a nice added bonus that not a lot of other cases I looked at for her had.

My daughter was very happy to get this and said she as happy that I got one for her before she bought one because this is nicer than the ones she was thinking of getting and loves that this has a slot in it to keep money safe and has a magnetic closure. If you'd like one of these for yourself, you can find it here. The price was $8.99 at the time of my purchase.

Product Review: Reynolds Slow Cooker Liners

Crowdtap sent me a free box of Slow Cooker Liners for me to test and give my opinion of.

First thing you do is Line a 5-to 6-quart slow cooker with a Reynolds Slow Cooker Liner. Fit liner snugly against the bottom and sides of bowl; pull top of liner over rim of bowl.

I like to add the meat first and then the vegetables.

I usually add 1/4 cup of my favorite jarred gravy to this along with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder and seasoned salt. Then cook on high for 6 hours or until everything is cooked.

This is the first time that I've used a Slow Cooker Liner when using my slow cooker but it sure did make for an easy clean up. Just let the slow cooker cool all the way and slowly pull the liner out and throw it away. The liner didn't leak or tear and it didn't add any sort of plastic taste or smell to my food. I'll definitely use these liners again.

Disclosure: I was sent a free box of liners for the purpose of testing an an honest review.
