My Review

This product is great for small spaces that need a little freshening scent. Places like cars, closets, gym bags, bathrooms and even trash cans. You just press the product until it pops and hang it where you want it. It gives off a nice scent without you having to do anything more. If you're looking for an innovative and interesting air freshener, this might be it.

I like all the scents but the relaxing lavender was probably my favorite. Lavender has always been a favorite scent ad I always feel calm and relaxed when I smell it. I put them n every room in my apartment and they've been hanging in there for 3 days and I can still smell them. These are best when used in smaller spaces like closets and bathrooms I found though.

Review: PacificCoast NutriLabs 1000mg Vitamin C

Product Description

Discover the Vitamin C Connection
When it comes to maintaining a healthy lifestyle and preventing disease, Vitamin C plays a huge role. As a water-soluble molecule, it can directly affect free radicals in the body, which are known to advance aging and induce oxidative damage.

Why You Should Take It Everyday
Because we can't store Vitamin C in our body, taking a quality Vitamin C supplement is a no-brainer. It ensures that you're getting the sufficient amount of nutrients you need every day.

It's one of the most essential nutrients you can consume, and integrating it into your diet can offer a bevy of benefits:

Health:
• Immunity Booster
• Improves Digestive Health
• Supports Asthma Symptoms

Beauty:
• Firm and Fairer Skin
• Improves Hair Growth
• Healthy Gums and Teeth
• Slow the Signs of Aging

Wellness:
• Manage Your Stress Levels
• Increase Your Energy

Weight Loss:
• Burn More Calories and Fat
• Aid Muscle Recovery
• Increase Testosterone Levels

It's important to note that the majority of these studies had their subjects consuming 500-1000mg a day of Vitamin C. Thus, our high potency tablets deliver 1000mg in each capsule.

My Review

I've been wanting to try some Vitamin C for a while because it's supposed to help keep you healthy and if I remember what my grandma used to say, it helps prevent colds too or at least boosts your immune system. So I started taking this when I got it and it didn't upset my stomach, it was easy to swallow and I think it might have even helped with the healing of my broken arm or the swollen tissue surrounding it. I haven't had a cold in the past 2 weeks since taking this and I've been around a few people with colds. I feel good and it didn't upset my stomach so I'm happy.

I broke my arm

So it will be a little while before I can get around to commenting back on your blogs. I broke my right arm and am right handed. lol so much fun.

Bookshelf Tag

The Bookshelf Tag
Last month I was at my friends blog over at Click's Clan and she posted a Bookshelf Tag that you can read here. I liked hers so much that I decided to do one of my own and share a few pictures of my own bookshelves.
*living room bookshelf*

1. Describe your bookshelf (or wherever it is you keep your books – it doesn't actually have to be a shelf!) and where you got it from. I actually have several bookshelves. The one in the living room was given to me by a neighbor when she moved out. The two I have in the bedroom were also given to me by a neighbor when she moved out. The small one in the hall I bought and the corner hanging one in my bedroom I also bought.

2. Do you have any special or different way of organizing your books? I try to keep books from each author together and since I have a few horror books I keep all those together and all of the romance together as well.

3. What’s the thickest (most amount of pages) book on your shelf? I would have to say Styxx by Sherrilyn Kenyon, which is about 800 pages is the book with the most pages.

4. What’s the thinnest (least amount of pages) book on your shelf? That would be Love Bites by James Newman. It's 39 pages long and signed by the author.

5. What’s the smallest (height and width wise) book on your shelf? It is Magic in the Wind by Christine Feehan. It's only 103 pages and it was hiding between some other books.

6. What’s the biggest (height and width wise) book on your shelf? The biggest book I have by far is Styxx by Sherrilyn Kenyon. It's a large hardback copy with 836 pages.

*My bedroom bookshelves*

7. Is there a book from a friend on your shelf? A neighbor gave me a copy of Lawe's Justice by Lora Leigh. She was moving out and gave me a couple of books.

8. Most expensive book? I don't have a lot of expensive books. But I remember years ago I went into a book store and paid $15.00 for a copy of a book that I had been looking for forever and finally found. It's called Redemption by Annee Cartier and it came out in 1997. I still have it and it's still a favorite of mine.

9. The last book you read on your shelf? That would be Midnight Raven by Becca Boucher. I won it from the author in a fb contest and read it recently.

10. Off all the books on your shelf, which was the first your read? Hobgoblin by John Coyne. I remember reading that book for the first time in high school for a free time reading class. The only thing we had to do in this class was pick a book, read it and give an oral report. Best class ever!

11. Do you have more than one copy of a book? Yes, several books in fact but I have 4 copies of Untouched by Sara Humphreys.

12. Do you have the complete series of any book series? I have the complete Dark Series by Christine Feehan.

13. What’s the newest addition to your shelf? That would be Midnight Raven by Becca Boucher.

14. What book has been on your shelf forever? That would be Once In Paris by Diana Palmer. That was the first romance novel I read and I kept it ever since.

15. What’s the most recently published book on your bookshelf? One of the newest books I have on my bookshelf is Twice Tempted by Jeaniene Frost.

16. The oldest book on your shelf (as in, the actual copy is old)? I have a book that I got from my mom that she used to read to me called Little Boy Blue and His Friends. It's a school edition and it was made in 1912. It's really old.

*hallway bookshelf*

17. A book you won? I've won a lot of books in the past few years but when I went exploring my bookshelves the first one I saw that I'd won was Beyond The Darkness by Jaime Rush.

18. A book you’d hate to let out of your sight (a.k.a. a book you never let someone borrow)? Most of them? lol

19. Most beat up book?I have a book that I bought from a garage sale and it looks like its been read a few times. It is Lover's Bite by Maggie Shayne.

20. Most pristine book? I have a book that I was careful not to even crack the spine and it's in really good shape, it's Wanted: Undead or Alive by Kerrelyn Sparks.

21. A book from your childhood? That would be the Little Boy Blue and his Friends book that I got from my mom.

22. A book that’s not actually your book? They're all mine. lol

23. A book with a special/different cover (e.g. leather bound, soft fuzzy cover, etc.)? No, I don't have any of those.

24. A book that is your favorite color? When Darkness Falls by Shannon Drake has a really pretty blue black cover with a gargoyle statue on the cover. It's one of my favorites.

*Corner Hanging Bookshelf*

25. Book that’s been on your shelf the longest that you STILL haven’t read? I usually read the books I get pretty fast but Mate Bond by Jennifer Ashley is still sitting on my shelf calling to me.

26. Any signed books? I actually have a lot of signed books from author blogs that I've visited and won or that have been sent to me for review or just because they felt like sending me a book. Here's just a few of the authors that I have autographed books from. Sara Humphreys, Lori Whitwam, Karen Koehler, Brian Keene, Lisa Dale, Kate Douglas, Sam Cheever and James Newman.

I hope you enjoyed this tour through my bookshelves. I'm supposed to tag some other bloggers to do this challenge but I think it's more fun to just let whoever want to do it make a post and share it. So let me know if you write up a Bookshelf Tag post and I'll take a look at it too.

Review: Quality Creations Butter Toffee Peanut Butter

Peanut Butter is praised for its high protein and healthy fats.

You will have a delicious spread like no other - and get your peanut butter fix.

Butter Toffee Peanut Butter is the perfect choice for peanut butter lovers. Try some today!

My Review
I love peanut butter of all kinds. I've tried cashew butter and probably every peanut butter in the grocery store. The only nut butter type spread I'm not a fan of is Nutella. But I like trying new things, I'm always up for trying something new, you never know when you'll find a new favorite.

So first thing you need to know about this is when you open it, you have to stir the heck out of it, but take your time, have some fun with it. It will totally be worth it. This butter toffee peanut butter is thick and when I opened it, the oil had separated and was on top so just stir, stir, stir. I even used a fork which made incorporating everything into a smooth creamy spreadable peanut butter much easier.

So I first tried this on a slice of bread and it was really good. Next I made a peanut butter and strawberry preserves sandwich and that was delicious. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who want to try something a little different but still have that peanut butter taste that you're used to. While the taste of this butter toffee peanut butter is a little bit milder and there's a hint of a couple of added ingredients, the flavor profile for this peanut butter is really good.

It's peanut butter so of course it has peanuts but here is the list of ingredients: Organic USA roasted peanuts, natural roasted peanuts, organic flax seed, organic hemp seed, butter, sugar, salt, soy lecithin, vanilla powder.

It's also gluten free in case that's what you're looking for.

I've had it for 2 days and because the oil had separated upon receiving it, after stirring it up real good, I popped it into the refrigerator and its stayed creamy and I haven't had to stir it again. If some of the oil does separate, do not pour it off! Make sure to stir it in because this is what makes it creamy and spreadable so you want to keep that oil in there.

I've never had flax seeds or hemp seeds so this was something new for me but I thought the combination was really good.

Review: Love, Lex by Avery Aster

Book Blurb
This summer, I'd planned to celebrate my eighteenth birthday in Europe with my fellow Manhattanites--Taddy Brill, Blake Morgan, and Vive Farnworth--until I caught my boyfriend screwing my mother. According to the police report, this vomit-inducing incident happened around the same time I'd supposedly blown-up my mother's penthouse. Like I'm walking around Soho with a stick of dynamite in my Louis Vuitton purse--not! Now, my besties and I are in jail.

Officer Ford Gotti, the Harley-wheelin' biker cop who arrested us, keeps sticking his perfectly-sculpted nose into my case. His inked body is jacked like a superhero, and he says I can trust him. He wants me to fess up. I won't. Not again. Why should I? My friends and I had a previous stint in juvie that nearly destroyed us. I gotta protect them and keep my mouth shut. Right? --Lex Easton, women's studies major, motorcycle enthusiast, and virgin.

The Undergrad Years is a New Adult contemporary miniseries about first loves, independence, and everlasting friendships.

My Review
Lex starts out planning in her head how she's going to lose her virginity to her gorgeous boyfriend until she finds him in bed with her mother. If that's not bad enough, Lex stands there watching them...do it, giving reader's all the dirty details for what seems like much longer than was really necessary.

She packs her belongings up and plans to leave only to be stopped by the boyfriend and she confronts him about what he did. After a nasty confrontation, she leaves but not before she burns some memento's she never wants to see again. What she didn't realize is that the fire didn't go out and with all the oxygen tanks sitting around that her mother uses to look younger, the place explodes and her mother is mildly hurt.

She and her friends get stopped by a cop and taken to jail because of the explosion and most of the rest of the story line is of them being in jail, how they are going to get out and how they finally get out. But the cop that pulled her over continues to poke around her and the case. When the cop pulls her over her fantasy mind starts up and remember this girl is just a day shy of her 18th birthday and still a virgin but this is just a little of what goes through her mind when pulled over by a cop she was flirting with...

"OMFG! Down there, he was as hard as a rock. I was afraid it was gonna get loose and slap me across my face. I swallowed the lump in my throat."

I started out reading this thinking it would be an interesting romance book involving a girl who has a troubled mother, interesting friends and a hot cop poking around her case. Instead what I read was a girl who just turns 18, makes bad choices, has worse taste in men and the cop who should have been the hero of the story turns out to be kinda creepy. Her hero cop comes off as a creepy stalker cop with control issues. He gives her two choices after learning the truth, either come with him to be his sex slave or turn herself in to the police about lying. Seemed very sketchy to me and it gave Officer "God" a real weird personality in my opinion.

The story started out interesting and could have been really good but I found it to be a little irritating. But it was also kinda sad because Lex's mother was really messed up on drugs and alcohol. The police officer comes across as being a bit stalkerish and creepy the ending felt rushed and incomplete which takes away from a story since when I read a romance book, I want a real ending and a HEA *Happily Ever After*.

If you'd like to buy this book, you can find it here

I give this book 2 out of 5 stars.

Review: Kids Swim Goggles

Product Description

Lenses are made of solid hard plastic that's easy to see thru but virtually unbreakable and provide UV protection. Coated to resist any fogging whatsoever.
Leak-Proof design - Adjustable nose bridge, adjustable strap, and waterproof eyecups allow the goggles to fit to the face and head properly.
Includes hard plastic case - makes it easy to carry to the pool. Cute cartoon tops - can be removed if you prefer.
Made with a very substantial, robust, high quality silicone - durable, stylish water goggles.

My Review
My grandson is 2 years old and we have a pool at our apartment complex so he and my daughter go swimming all the time during the summer months. So I thought he would really like these swim goggles and I was right. I like them because they come with a carry case and they are really cute! They have cute little dolphins on the goggles and I think this makes it even cuter for kids to wear. I think this design is good for girls as well as boys and I'm sure when the other kids see these they are going to want their own pair. Swim goggles are good because they let you go under the water and keep your eyes open so you want a pair that aren't going to let in water and these don't. They work jut like they said they would and they look cute doing it.

Food only comes in direct contact on the stainless steels! Easy to handle, and operate safety with built-in finger guards - Work better than expensive models!

My Review
I've never had a vegetable slicer of any kind so I was really interested in what the vegetables would look like after going through a product like this one. I make lettuce wraps all the time and it's such a pain to try and cut carrots that are really small julienne type slices for the wraps. So I put a carrot through this spiral slicer and the carrots slices were just the right size I needed. I just had to cut them to fit the lettuce wraps which was so much easier than trying to slice the entire carrot. It's really easy to use too. Just cut off the ends and put one end into the slicer, apply a little pressure and turn. It's that easy and it cuts really fast which was nice. I used this with a couple of zucchini and then sauteed it in butter and it was done really fast because the slices were so thin and it came out fantastic.

Review: Brave Beagle 100% Chicken Liver Gourmet Dog Treats

Product Description
MADE IN THE USA - In a GMP facility from USDA inspected meat
SINGLE INGREDIENT - No fillers or preservatives - just chicken liver (and lots of love)
GRAIN FREE - No grains and paleo friendly
A PURE TREAT - No hormones, antibiotics, dyes, or gluten
8 OZ PACKAGE - A big pouch of approx 240 treats! Suitable for small to large dogs

My Review
I was surprised at just how big a bag of treats this is. There's a lot of treats in this bag and I'm always looking for a new treat for my dog. I've only had my dog for 6 months and he's about a year old now and I like buying him new things to try. I opened the bag and he came running because he's nosy and thinks everything is for him and sometimes he's right. I gave him one of the treats and he ate it right away. So I put the bag down on my chair so I could get a picture of it and my dog sat there by the chair just staring at the bag. He wanted more of the treats, so I gave him another one. I waited a full day before giving him anymore just to make sure he wouldn't have any stomach problems and he didn't. Some treats and food can upset his stomach but I didn't have that problem with these treats and so I gave him another one this morning. If you're like me and don't eat liver and won't cook it for your dog to eat then this is a great treat to get them because it's actually good for them.

My Review
My husband loves garlic, garlic salt, garlic powder, minced garlic..pretty much anything garlic and he likes it. So I try to add a little to the dishes I make and I have made homemade garlic bread and garlic Texas toast. I've never had a garlic press, I usually just peel the cloves and mince them with a knife but this is so much easier and simpler. I've tried the smash method that I always see on the cooking shows but I never seem to get that right and it makes a mess for me. Using this is much easier, you just peel *or not* the garlic cloves, add one of two to the press and squeeze. The press does all the work for you.

The 2 in 1 feature lets you either use it as a garlic press or crack lobster/nuts. I haven't had lobster in years so it'll be working as my garlic press. I found the garlic press extremely easy to use and I didn't even have to apply mega amounts of pressure to get the garlic minced in the press and for me that was a big plus. It rinsed really easily after I used it and it's very sturdy and I think it will last a long time.

This garlic peeler is actually something that I've never seen or used before. But all you do is put one clove of garlic inside this silicone sleeve, place on a flat surface and roll back and forth with your hand. The clove of garlic comes out without the skin and just run the silicone sleeve under water to rinse off any garlic skin that sticks to the silicone. It's so easy.

My Review
My husband snores...loudly! We have a window air conditioner in the bedroom and it makes a lot of noise when a person is trying to get to sleep plus I have really rude neighbors who will play the music in their cars really loud right outside my bedroom window when they are coming or going. So for a few years now, I've been wearing foam ear plugs.

These ear plugs are not foam, they are a mold-able material that you flatten in and against the ear canal. I'm willing to try anything that will work so the day I received these I used them that night. It took a few minutes to get the hang of fitting this material against the outside and some on the inside of my ear canal when I'm used to fitting a foam ear plug inside my ear. But it was actually easier than I thought it would be and after I had both in, I couldn't hear a thing. Sometimes with foam ear plugs there's still a small amount of sound that I can hear but not with these. I like these more than foam ear plugs because some foam ear plugs hurt my ears and give me a headache, my ears also at times get itchy wearing foam ear plugs but I didn't have either of those issues with this product.

As you can see, these are completely mold-able. You can mold them into whatever shape you want to start with.

I started off with a small flat disc and then pinched the middle to form the small piece that would fit inside my ear canal and then firmly pressed the whole thing against my ear. The ingredients for these ear plugs are... Filtered Beeswax, Pure Lanolin, Sterile Cotton, Corn Starch, Grapefruit seed extract.

I can't say how long a pair of these will last because I've only had them for a couple of days but I've read other reviews that say they lasted a long time.
