Book Review: Deliciously Mated by P. Jameson

Book Description

He'll break his clan's oath to protect his mate.

Eagan has discovered a thief at Lake Haven Lodge. She comes in the night taking only what she needs to survive. But, what can he do when he catches her and realizes she's his fated mate? A mate he's pledged to never claim.

She'll do whatever it takes to leave behind the life she had.

Clara is a ghost. She disappeared from her cushy life to live alone with the guilt that plagues her. However, living off the grid has forced her to get creative with her resources. When desperation sets in, the mountain lodge nearby is her saving grace. Until she gets caught by a beast of a man who looks at her like she's his.

Now, Eagan will go against his entire clan to draw Clara out of the woods and into his arms.

My Review

Clara has been living off the land for a few years but she steals some things from people and the lodge she found so she can live. Eagan notices that things are going missing from the lodge and tries to find the thief. She loses her notebook and Eagan realizes that she's keeping track of the things she's been stealing so she can pay them back at some point. So the next time Clara comes to look for her notebook she finds a note from Eagan that he will help her and she finds some food he left for her.

Eagan and his shifter clan have decided to stay celibate because their panther's for the most part won't stay monogamous and they don't want to be responsible for hurting their mates. But one other of their clan have already found their mate and they are staying faithful. So Eagan thinks that he can as well that it's a choice. So he tells his clan leader that he's taking Clara as his mate because he can't live without her and doesn't want to. That causes a lot of friction between he and his leader.

Eagan wants to get to know Clara better and she tells him why she's been living the way she has and it's a heartbreaking story but we can understand her reasoning.

Eagan is just the best hero. I loved him so much. He was so understanding and caring about her situation. She was a very relatable heroine.

I give this book 3 out of 5 stars.
