It's gonna be a scorcher!

Just heard on the news that it's suppossed to be 114 degrees for the next 2 days. But they take the temperature in the shade at the airport so when they showed us our neighborhood weather temperature, my neighborhood's temperature was going to be 119 degree's. Sweating 2 Dang, so this morning I got up and went and did my grocery shopping at 4am. Good grief at midnight last night it was still 80 degrees. Too damn hot. It's true that we are mostly made up of water right? Well then I surmise that if I got out in 119 degree heat my body will evaporate into steam and I will disappear. LOL Anyway, I don't feel like haveing my brain boiled this early in the summer. I'll wait to have a heat stroke with the rest of the nuts that will probably be outside later in the month.

  1. Its got up around 90 degrees here a few days, but thats as hot as its gotten. maybe 95 once. We've already had twice as many 90 degree days as we had all last summer. I spend most of my free time in front of a fan and attempting to relax in my recliner. I don't even think i've used the covers on the bed more than 3 times in the last two months because it stays pretty warm up here. There were a few days though that during the night it went from 90 down to around 50. Not good for the sinuses.

  2. Thank goodness we have an air conditioner in the bedroom window as well as one in the living room or we would have to live in the refrigerator.

  3. It's been in the high 80's and 90's now since mid May or so. We've broken two heat records the past two days and it looks like we will do so for the next 5 or 6. We were just over 100F day before yesterday without the hunidex factor and we were 108F or close to that yeasterday. Add another 7 degrees to those numbers for the humidity and well, it adds up to misery. I can hear the thunder right now but it's all thnderheads and no rain.
For once the morons were right. We were told that this was going to be the hottest summer on record.
The scary part is this...the Great Lakes are heating up as well, deeper than ever before and that means they will retain the warm water longer this year which will spawn more Lake Effect snow than normal.
Soooo...a deep shovel filled winter is comig...I just know it.
