My Recipe For Homemade Guacamole

For a small portion enough for 2 or 3 people, I use three large ripe avocados. Just use a fork to smash them in a bowl and add a tablespoon of lemon juice and a tablespoon of mayonnaise. Mix well.

Add a little salt to taste and refrigerate until chilled. I serve it with potato chips or use it instead of mayo on sandwiches. This also goes really good on tacos.

  3. Wow Keith and Pat, neither of you have ever tried guacamole? I think you two are the first people I've ever known that have never even tried it. lol It's really good, especially if you like avocados.

  4. Love guacamole. I've never made my own though. I get these 100 calorie snack pack quacamole's at the grocery that are so good. Nice since it's just me most of the time and making a bunch it would turn brown before I could finish it all.

  5. Anna, if you add a little bit of lemon juice to this, it keeps the avocados from turning brown for a while longer.

  6. Hmm. Okay. Going to have to add some in next time I open one of those packs! I can't usually eat a whole one of those either. Thanks for the tip!
